Begin met een bezoek aan de Burana Tower, een historische minaret van de oude zijderoute, voordat u naar het kristalheldere water van Issyk Kul gaat. Je reis begint om 7 : 40 AM, waar je je Gids en medereizigers ontmoet op het aangewezen ontmoetingspunt in Bisjkek. Na een korte introductie stap je aan boord van een comfortabele minibus en ga je op avontuur naar het Issyk Kul-meer, waarbij je onderweg door prachtige berglandschappen rijdt.
De eerste stop is de Burana Tower, een historische minaret uit de 11e eeuw, ooit onderdeel van een oude zijderoute stad. Klim naar de top voor een prachtig uitzicht, bezoek het kleine museum en verken oude steenhouwerijen (ballen) verspreid over de site. Je gids vertelt boeiende verhalen over de geschiedenis en het belang ervan in het verleden van Kirgizië.
Aangekomen bij Issyk Kul Lake, het op één na grootste alpenmeer ter wereld, geniet je eerst van een heerlijke lunch in een lokaal restaurant, waar je de traditionele Kirgizische keuken proeft. Daarna kunt u varen op een schilderachtige boottocht (mei-september), waar u het helderblauwe water en een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen vanaf het meer kunt bewonderen.
Verken vervolgens Cholpon Ata, het culturele en historische hart van Issyk Kul. Bezoek de Petroglyphs, een openluchtmuseum met oude rotstekeningen die duizenden jaren teruggaan. Verken vervolgens het Rukh Ordo Cultural Complex, een indrukwekkend openluchtmuseum dat Kirgizische tradities, geschiedenis en spiritualiteit combineert. Om de dag af te sluiten, kunt u ontspannen en tot rust komen in natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen, genietend van het warme mineraalwater dat bekend staat om zijn genezende eigenschappen.
Na een dag vol historische bezienswaardigheden, culturele bezienswaardigheden en natuurwonderen te hebben verkend, is het tijd om terug te keren naar Bisjkek. A very relaxing tour because the entire lake area will provide another look into Kyrgyzstan. A walk on the lake with music and very nice people and a look at an outdoor museum where all religions are mirrored for a relaxing bath in the hotsprings
Had a very nice time with the tour. The guide Anvir is very knowledgeable and friendly. I didn't feel rushed and he explains every places that we went to and answered all our questions when asked. Overall it's worth every money spent. Totally recommended.

No response from operator through Viator nor emailing them through their website. Driver was 40 minutes late from stated meetup time. Got a refund and joined another tour.

A long drive to the lake and back. Plan to stay overnight to get full lake experience... Wonderful lake and surroundings. Petrogluphs were not very impressive.
So I was taken on time by the driver and guide Eldar. So we headed off to our first point Burana Tower. Eldar explained a lot about the history. Afterwards we went the ruins of Balasugun City, where we walked around at our own pace. Then we visited a Thermal Spa, which was a nice experience, they even sold bathing cloths, if you didn't consider to visit it before, that was super handy. Last point was a ferry ship trip on Issyk kul, which was also very nice and rounded off this relaxed trip. Eldar wasn't always able to describe everything in English, but he was a safe driver and an affectionated as well as an attentive guide. Highly recommended!
This company should be excluded from viator. They sent me a message cancelling my tour less than 12 hour before the trip and told me point blank: “we wont give your money back”. Avoid it

I’ve booked this tour and the day before I sent them a message confirming the departure time because i did not receive any message. The company reached out to me and said due to weather issues the tour was cancelled, less then 12 hours before the start. There was no weather issues, they just didn’t want to do the tour, also they sent me a message saying they woudnt give my money back. AVOID!

It is also mentioned in our program that, due to weather conditions, there is always a chance that the trip might be cancelled.
