Lagoa das Sete Cidades, ook bekend als Caldeira das Sete Cidades, ligt aan de noordwestkust van het eiland São Miguel, in de buurt van Ponta Delgada. Als het grootste zoetwatermeer van de Azoren geldt het als een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden van de regio. De civil parish Mosteiros is een geliefde bestemming, vooral in de zomer, en trekt zowel de lokale bevolking als toeristen aan die de zee opzoeken om te zwemmen en te vissen. Wonderful day with Hugo. We went on an off road adventure, full day, lots of fun and laughter whilst we learned much about the Azores. The Land Rover discovery was clean and comfortable for our day. We saw and experienced so much, had fantastic local food and local wine. An amazing day to live in the memory. Ours was a cruise private tour which we arranged ourselves. We did the Golden triangle tour, only 6 days, but only require a rest at home after. The support was superb. Cannot speak more highly of our guide, Scoobie. Educated, great sense of humour, fantastic knowledge of history and politics, and extremely clear English speaking local.
Capacity of the jeep is for 5 ppl . Company tries to maxi it up a bit add in two more ppl on the back of the car. I had to go the full experience on this part of the car where the sits are placed on a vertical position. Super bumpy experience pressing with my legs to the front seat to not fell over all the time . It’s a pitty we paid over 150$ for this . The guide Rui was excellent ! He knew exactly where to stop and where to take the best picture. Very uncomfortable the whole experience ! Call before and make sure you don’t want to be seated there !!!!
Dear Guest, Thank you for your comment but I have to clarify the following: The jeep you went on the tour was a Land Rover Defender and contrary to what you say, it has a capacity of 8 seats (not 5 as you say) plus the guide, total 9 seats. For the best comfort of our customers we only use 6 seats, in our regular tours, we could use the 8 seats but we only use 6. I would also like to mention that on this tour you are not seated for more than 15 to 20 minutes because we make several stops and that you can change of seats so that everyone can use different seats in the jeep. We are very sorry that you did not mention that you liked the landscapes and the tour in general and that you made reference only to the places in the jeep, this type of jeep has been used by us and many other companies for many years. A beautiful ski resort... Good value for money... The hunting lodge is a good place for a relaxing holiday - direct access to some lifts.. Always like to come here - because the sun is shining.. 😉 👍
Had a great tour with Filipe again who is an excellent guide . The weather was good this time round so saw all the sites on the tour, would highly recommend this company.
