Golden Gai ligt op een paar minuten lopen van de oostelijke uitgang van het station Shinjuku, tussen het stadskantoor van Shinjuku en het Hanazono-heiligdom. Het architecturale belang ervan is dat het een blik geeft op het relatief recente verleden van Tokio, toen grote delen van de stad op het huidige Golden Gai leken, vooral wat betreft de extreem smalle straatjes en de kleine gebouwen van twee verdiepingen.
Kabukicho is een beroemde uitgaanswijk die vooral bekend staat om het op volwassenen gerichte nachtleven. Kleine clubs, rokerige pubs en nachtelijke snackbars zijn in de met lantaarns verlichte steegjes van Golden Gai gepropt. Robot Restaurant organiseert kitscherige sciencefictiondinershows, terwijl rockbands optreden in Marz en Ashibe Hall.
Hanazono-schrijn is het belangrijkste Shinto-heiligdom in de buurt van Shinjuku Station. Het heiligdom ligt naast het konijnenhol van Golden Gai.

De Don Quijote Kabukicho-winkel bevindt zich bij de ingang van Kabukicho, het grootste uitgaansdistrict van Japan, met een concentratie aan restaurants, een supermarkt die boodschappen, speelgoed, schoenen en andere huishoudelijke artikelen verkoopt.
Het Godzilla-hoofd is een mijlpaal en toeristische attractie in Kabukichō, Shinjuku, Tokio, Japan. Het beeldhouwwerk is toegankelijk vanaf het Godzilla-terras van Hotel Gracery Shinjuku, in het Shinjuku Toho-gebouw. Het toont Godzilla, af en toe met "gloeiende ogen en rokerige adem"

Naoto was amazing! I was running late so instead of metro I had to catch a taxi to the meeting point. He was kind enough to send me photos of the location point to show the driver “Tounan Guchi” 東南口 which the driver knew exactly where to drop me off. I learnt some history and culture while we visited different places to eat, in which all the food locations were just Oishī. We did the famous Shibuya crossing of course, and he took me to this look out where you can see part of the crossing from above. And he also took some pictures and videos of me during the tour. I was heading back to my hotel using the metro for the first time by myself, so listening to his guide helped. The metro can be daunting for your first time. If you are ever in Tokyo and it is your first time to Japan like me, I highly recommend this tour and Naoto. ah-ree-gah-toh goh-zah-ee-mahs Naoto! kind regards Nelson

Chisato was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable about the area as well as the food. We tried many new items I hadn’t had and saw some sights that I would not have thought of. I really enjoyed the history of the areas we went to, like Golden Gai

The tour is amazing and is inclusive of food and drinks. The guide, Mr Kato added the finishing touch to it. Mr Kato was patient and and knowledgeable. He answered many of my questions with regards to the food and history of the place. Will definitely engage him again when I'm back in Tokyo. Cheers!!!!
