Peggy Guggenheim en Venice gaan hand in hand. De iconische kunstenaar vestigde zich hier in 1949 en nam de toch al legendarische kunstscene van Venetië mee naar de stratosfeer. Tijdens deze rondleiding leer je alles over haar, plus bekijk je de kunstwerken in de Peggy Guggenheim Collection en wandel je door een deel van de Dorsoduro-wijk dat de kunstmijl heet. The tour was very enlightening as it has such a wide collection of art of the modern early twentieth century artists. The guide Ms Alessandra was very well versed and competent on the many topics. The key point was the historical life of Peggy Guggenheim and the various traumas that the latter experienced which shaped her life as a n art collector. Peggy made a mark for herself instead of just being rich. Her legacy benefits the present generation with a rich assortment of modern paintings.
