Rondreisopties
Reisroute

Grazie Valerio for a super tour in murano - the whole family loved it!
Thank you so much! It was a real pleasure meeting you and your wonderful family. I'm so happy to hear that you all enjoyed your time in Murano. I hope the rest of your stay in Venice is just as memorable. Have a fantastic trip, and I hope to see you again one day! Warm regards, Valerio
I was hoping for a little more from this activity. The first island felt like an afterthought and I wish there was a little more discussion about it or a stop by a local business. Burano was beautiful, but there wasn’t anytime allocated for stopping by local businesses. Murano also felt rush since our group had to split in two to see each business. On thing that made the tour difficult was the guide bringing up his political views several times, which really brought the mood down. For the price I thought there was going to be a little more history or demonstration given. The guide did help with a couple suggestions for after the tour with food and a shop.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that the experience didn't meet your expectations. The first island, Mazzorbo, is intentionally included because it is a quiet, rural island that offers a completely different perspective on the Venetian Lagoon. It has virtually no shops by design—only vineyards, vegetable gardens, and the Michelin-starred Venissa estate, which we visit and discuss during the tour. Its charm lies precisely in its peaceful atmosphere, in contrast to the more visited islands. As for Burano and Murano, the itinerary is designed to balance free time with guided explanations and visits to authentic artisan workshops. The glass demonstrations take place in small groups to ensure everyone can see the artisans at work comfortably, although I understand this may have made the visit feel more fragmented for you. Regarding my comments during the tour, I'm sorry if they gave you that impression. My intention is never to discuss politics but rather to explain how historical and contemporary events affect Venice and the daily lives of its residents. I'm especially sorry because the rest of the group seemed to genuinely enjoy the experience. I wonder whether the exceptionally high temperatures that day may also have influenced how the tour felt, as it was an unusually hot day even by Venetian standards. In any case, thank you again for your feedback. I always take guests' comments seriously, and they help me continue improving the experience.
I loved all 3 islands that we visited. Vallerio was an excellent host and guide providing lots of interesting information about each. The quietness of the garden, the colors of Burano and the Murano glass were all beautiful in different ways. What a great combination tour. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m really glad you enjoyed the contrast between the peaceful garden, the vibrant colors of Burano, and the craftsmanship of Murano glass—it’s exactly what makes this tour so special. It was a pleasure having you, and I hope to see you again in Venice for another experience!
Valerio provided the most unique prospective to this tour, we saw tourist attractions but also gave a window into daily life on the islands. The stops we went to were full of joyful people and Valerio’s love for the islands made the tour special.
Thank you so much, Chris! I’m really glad you enjoyed discovering the islands beyond the usual sights — that’s exactly the spirit of this tour. It means a lot to know you felt the local vibe and the joy of daily life here. Hope to see you again for another deTour in Venice! 🌊✨ Valerio deTourist
Excellent tour exploring 3 islands! Our guide was a resident of Murano and had a lot of connections on the island that really made the experience unique and fun. We loved it and would recommend!
Thank you so much, Jacqueline! I’m really glad you enjoyed discovering the islands with me. As a Murano resident it’s always a pleasure to share my local connections and give a more authentic perspective. I hope you’ll come back to explore more hidden corners of Venice and the lagoon! Best wishes, Valerio deTourist
Valerio is a wonderful guide - a balance of informative, easy to be around, and kind. We saw and learned so much on our island hopping tour, where his special connections offered us unique opportunities. The tour was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Dear Jill, thank you so much for your kind words! I'm truly happy to hear you enjoyed the island hopping experience and appreciated the special access along the way. It was a real pleasure to explore Mazzorbo, Burano, and Murano with you — your curiosity and warmth made it a great day for me too. Wishing you all the best for your future travels, and hope to welcome you back to Venice sometime! Warm regards, Valerio deTourist
Our tour of Mazzorbo, Burano, and Murano with Valario was a hightlight of our trip. We got such a great mix of the history of these beautiful islands as well as a glimpse into modern life there today. It was so interesting to see how the traditional arts of lace making and glass blowing are kept alive today and get to see the artists at work. Valario was a great guide and was able to answer our wide range of questions, help us navigate the water taxis, and provided us with some additional tips and tricks for the rest of our visit (yeah for the beach on Lido!). Our group all gives him the highest recommendation after touring with him.
Thank you so much, Vicki! I'm thrilled to hear the island tour was a highlight of your trip. It was a real pleasure guiding you through the stories, traditions, and everyday life of Mazzorbo, Burano, and Murano. I'm glad you enjoyed meeting the artisans and discovering those hidden corners—including the beach tip for Lido! Wishing you many more inspiring travels, and thanks again for your kind words and top recommendation! Warm regards, Valerio deTourist
