Geniet van een privétour om het belangrijkste en beroemdste museum in Venetië, de Accademia Galleries, te bezoeken. Binnen zie je de buitengewone collectie Venetiaanse schilderijen, gemaakt tussen de 14e en 18e eeuw door grote meesters die de geschiedenis van de Europese schilderkunst hebben geschreven. U kunt werken bewonderen die behoren tot de Byzantijnse kunst, tot de gotische periode, totdat u renaissancekunstenaars ontmoet zoals Bellini, Giorgione, Tintoretto en Carpaccio en de 1600 "landschapskunstenaars" zoals Longhi, Canaletto, Guardi. In de Galleries van de Accademia bevindt zich ook de "Man van Vitruvius", de beroemde potloodtekening gemaakt door Leonardo da Vinci aan het einde van de 15e eeuw. Vanwege de onschatbare waarde wordt het werk slechts zelden tentoongesteld. Aan het einde van de tour heb je de kans om met je gids door de "artistieke" Dorsoduro-wijk "Sestiere Dorsoduro" te wandelen. Daar zie je de meest representatieve plekken zoals Campo Santa Margherita, Fondamenta Zattere en Campo San Barnaba.

Great overview of both the Academia Museum and surrounding neighborhood. Our guide was exceptional with a wealth of information.

Ilaria was brilliant , a fountain of wonderful information and really went out of her way to make the history of venice come alive. We were delayed due to an incident with a pickpocketing attempt - this young lady came and found us and proceeded to give us a wonderful experience- recommend this guide and the tour

Our guide was lovely and gave a great overview of the city and Venetian art. She was early, stayed a bit late to finish, and was great with our young daughter. Our only small complaint is we sometimes exhausted her knowledge of certain technical points, but I imagine this wound not be an issue for most - she was quite knowledgeable.

It was very rewarding to have a private guide to the Accademia in Venice! Our guide put everything in context for us so it was not so overwhelming. She also took us on a wonderful walking tour of the area and pointed out interesting sites such as the Dario Palace "the house that kills". Google it for info. Quite spooky!
