Houd er rekening mee dat dit gedeelte niet altijd is inbegrepen, omdat de route kan variëren afhankelijk van de bezoekersstroom binnen de musea.
De Sixtijnse Kapel bevindt zich helemaal aan het einde van de Vaticaanse Musea. Je gids neemt de tijd om de adembenemende fresco's van Michelangelo uit te leggen.
U gebruikt een kortere weg vanaf de Sixtijnse Kapel om de Sint-Pietersbasiliek binnen te gaan, zodat u niet in de rij hoeft te wachten. Je gids zal je vervolgens geweldige kunstwerken laten zien die de thuisbasis zijn van de grootste kerk ter wereld.

- Houd er rekening mee dat de toegang tot de Sixtijnse Kapel en de Sint-Pietersbasiliek onderworpen is aan de voorschriften en ceremonies van het Vaticaan. De Vaticaanse Musea of de Basiliek kunnen besluiten om deze sites op korte termijn te sluiten vanwege officiële evenementen of religieuze procedures. Bij onverwachte ontwikkelingen kunnen wij deze sluitingen niet vooraf voorzien of controleren. Uw ticket geeft u echter nog steeds toegang tot de Vaticaanse Musea.
- Bezoekers met een handicapkaart met meer dan 75% hebben recht op gratis toegang en hoeven geen ticket te kopen.
- Knieën en schouders moeten bedekt zijn om binnen te komen tijdens uw bezoek.
- De tour omvat het beklimmen van trappen. Er is geen lift in de meeste gebieden van de Vaticaanse Musea. Comfortabele schoenen worden aanbevolen.
- Kinderwagens zijn toegestaan in de Vaticaanse Musea, maar houd er rekening mee dat de meeste ruimtes een trap hebben en een beperkte lifttoegang. Als de optie Basilica is geselecteerd, moeten kinderwagens worden ingeklapt en door de ingang worden gedragen. Het is niet mogelijk om met een wandelwagen mee te gaan, tenzij deze opvouwbaar is.
- Rolstoelen en mobiliteitshulpmiddelen kunnen vanwege veiligheidsvoorschriften niet worden gebruikt om de Sint-Pietersbasiliek via de uitgang van de Sixtijnse Kapel te betreden. Om deze reden kunnen reizigers met een rolstoel niet deelnemen aan de groepstour, omdat ze een aparte toegankelijke route moeten volgen die trappen vermijdt. Wij raden u aan om contact met ons op te nemen voordat u boekt voor verdere hulp.
- In het hoogseizoen kan een verplichte veiligheidscontrole tot 30 minuten wachten vereisen.

Alex was incredible. Super friendly. Intimately knowledgeable about history, art, and Roman culture. He was born and raised locally, was very nice, genuinely interested in the content and was quite funny. He had a constant stream of corny dad jokes which gave the whole tour a light and friendly feel. I would definitely recommend a tour with him anywhere in/around Rome.

Roberta was absolutely exceptional. From start to finish, the entire process felt easy, smooth, and reassuring. She immediately set everyone at ease—warm, funny, and engaging—while guiding us through what could otherwise feel overwhelming given the sheer scale of the Vatican. What stood out most was her passion and depth of knowledge. You could tell she’s led this tour many times, yet she delivered it with genuine enthusiasm, as if it were new and meaningful each time. Even more impressive, she made a large group feel personal. She took time to acknowledge each individual, answered questions thoughtfully, and spoke in a way that felt directed to you, not just at a crowd. There is an incredible amount to see and absorb, and Roberta handled it with grace and respect—especially when it came to the Sistine Chapel. She was very clear about the importance of silence and reverence there, and we were fully prepared to honor that. Unfortunately, once inside, many visitors ignored those expectations—talking loudly and even dancing—which felt deeply disrespectful. That said, this was absolutely not a reflection on Roberta. In fact, her commitment to honoring the space and the rules only made me appreciate her more. Skipping the line alone was worth it. Even in the middle of winter, the crowds were intense—likely due to the Jubilee year—but we moved through security quickly and seamlessly. The experience was well worth the money and truly elevated our visit. I would wholeheartedly recommend Roberta to anyone visiting the Vatican. She made it memorable, meaningful, and genuinely special.
