We beginnen deze tour met een bezoek aan Ollantaytambo – een perfect voorbeeld van Inca-architectuur, een van de grootste Inca-locaties in de Heilige Vallei, met Inca-terrassen, een buitenwereldse Tempel van de Zon, een Watertempel met ceremoniële fonteinen en nog veel meer. Vanaf hier duurt het ongeveer 1 uur om naar de volgende site te gaan.
Begeleid bezoek aan de beroemde zoutmijnen van Maras, waar de lokale bevolking meer dan 3500 zoutpoelen heeft, sinds pre-Inca tijden, hebben zout verkregen door het verdampen van warm zout water uit een lokale ondergrondse stroom. Van hier naar de volgende plaats is 30 minuten
Begeleid bezoek aan de verbazingwekkende ronde Inca-terrassen van Moray, uniek onder de Inca-sites in het Heilige Valleigebied, waarvan wordt aangenomen dat het een uitgebreid landbouwlaboratorium is. Vanaf deze site duurt het ongeveer 20 minuten rijden naar het restaurant.
We zullen wat tijd hebben om een verdiende lunch te krijgen in een lokaal restaurant met een goed uitzicht op de bergen (Lunch is inbegrepen) Dan duurt het ongeveer 30 minuten om naar de volgende site te gaan.
Bezoek een prachtige koloniale kerk en de archeologische site van Chinchero, Een klein stadje beroemd om zijn spectaculaire uitzicht op de bergen met zijn indrukwekkende terrassen en altaren. Stop bij een weefatelier, waar lokale mensen die Quechua-tradities blijven beoefenen, je laten zien hoe ze natuurlijke kleurstoffen uit planten verkrijgen. We had an absolutely fantastic Sacred Valley tour! Ricardo was an exceptional guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture of Peru. His explanations brought every stop to life, and he answered every question with incredible depth and enthusiasm. The day was perfectly paced, allowing us to enjoy each site without ever feeling rushed. Ricardo was also flexible, adapting the tour to our interests and making sure everyone had a wonderful experience. Our driver was equally outstanding—always on time, professional, and, most importantly, an extremely safe driver on the winding mountain roads. This was one of the best tours we did in Cusco. Best day tour and very well organized. Our tour guide Ruben is the best. He was very knowledgeable, calm and patient. We took time to each spot to learn about that area. Great tour and must watch places!

The most amazing tour of the sacred valley! Everything was better than expected and personalized since it was a private tour! Our guide Ruben was THE VERY BEST EVER! Our full-day Sacred Valley tour of Urubamba and Ollantaytambo was absolutely amazing! Johnny was an outstanding guide who was passionate about sharing the history and culture of the region. His deep knowledge of both local and Incan history made every stop more meaningful and engaging. One thing that really stood out was how he used a book with visual aids to help bring the stories and history to life. It added so much context and made the experience even more memorable. He was also fantastic at helping us capture great photos, always knowing the best spots and angles at each site. The tour was very well organized, including a delicious lunch and opportunities to support local artisans and businesses along the way. Our driver, Willy, was excellent as well—professional, attentive, and always ready to get us safely to our next destination. We appreciated how he kept an eye on our belongings while we explored.
