Vanuit Seattle: Privétour naar Mt. Rainier

Beschrijving

Great tour! Plan for the full 11 hours. Oddly, the advertisement mentioned a motor coach with a bathroom, but in reality it was a 20 passenger bus~no bathroom. Great tour guide!
Thanks for joining us! It sounds like there was a misunderstanding as our listing states there is no on-board restroom. I also want to clarify that the 20 passenger bus is what we conduct our public tours on, but the product you reviewed is a private tour, which we conduct in our 5-passenger SUV's. Thanks again, we're glad you had a good day out!
Very good trip. Mount Rainier is a huge park and without a guide you’d miss out on so much. Pick up was convenient and not having to drive the whole trip myself was a relief.
We're so glad we could be your Hawaii replacement and spend the day at Mt. Rainier with you! Have a great rest of your stay in the PNW.
It was beautiful scenery. Some of the walking was hard for seniors.
Thank you for joining us on a private tour to Mt. Rainier! One of the biggest benefits of a private tour is the ability to customize how much walking or hiking is involved in your day - we never want to over-extend our guests! Thank you again and we hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in the Pacific Northwest!
We specifically booked the tour to Mount Rainier on 13.5. They charged us $218 per couple. With the help of the hotel clerk. They made an appointment with us at 9.15. The next day we waited at the hotel but a guide arrived who claimed that we were registered for a city tour, we told him that the payment we paid did not match the city tour and we did not book a city tour! In the end, the hotel clerk called them and they said that the day after tomorrow there would be another tour to Rainier. But we had to add $176. We had no choice but to agree to this, and due to the mistake they gave us a $40 discount so we only added $136. In short, the guide arrived at the pick-up point at the appointed time. We set off on our way. When she had previously mentioned that there was a problem with the weather and that she would try to manage the time and order of the sites correctly. Unfortunately, when we arrived, a snowstorm started with rain, it was very cold, thick fog so it was impossible to see anything and get out of the bus. The question arises: what is the responsibility of the managers to organize a trip in such weather??? The main thing is the money??? We saw nothing, we could not go out, everything was full of mud, and in addition, the guide stayed on the bus the whole time and did not go out with us. In some cases, we did not even know where to go because she stayed on the bus. Only at the end of the trip, when the weather improved a little, she go out to see the trees with us. So what did we pay for if she did not guide in the field but only on the bus? We did not enjoy the trip and the high cost was not at all worth it!
EDITED TO ADD: This review was added to our Private Tour to Mt. Rainier product, which you did not arrange or experience; you joined our public tour. Please consider removing your review for this product and adding to the correct tour you joined. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review; we are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your day out and would like to clarify a few points you mentioned. The front desk staff of the hotel you were staying with called at 9am requesting to sign up for our next tour going out that same day. Since our Mt. Rainier tour leaves at 7am and wasn't available that day, we offered our Seattle City Tour with a 9:15am pickup and she booked you on that tour at the Seattle City Tour rate. She requested that we email the front desk a confirmation email that she could print out for you, so we entered the email she provided and sent a confirmation email for our Seattle City Tour. When the tour guide arrived, we realized you wanted the Mt. Rainier tour instead, which is about double the price of our Seattle City Tour. Due to the mixup, we offered a discounted rate for Mt. Rainier the next day instead, explaining it is an all-day tour. There was another misunderstanding regarding weather; the weather was not a "problem" on your tour, but very typical for this time of year. Our guides are trained to determine the best route for your tour that day given a variety of factors, weather included. If we think there's a chance we can get our guests better views from one location vs. another, we will absolutely try! Our tours to Mt. Rainier operate daily no matter the weather, which is listed on our website and brochure. Many guests join our Mt. Rainier tour this time of year to see the snow, so we provide complimentary snow shoes and spikes for guests to enjoy. We detail in our confirmation email what to wear to prepare for winter days. There is a misunderstanding about the stops on the tour and the guide staying with the bus. There were several stops the rest of the guests enjoyed short hikes to Viewpoints but your party opted to stay on board the bus instead. Our guide is able to join the group in some areas of the park, and others the guide is restricted by park rules. This applies to all tour operators/guides. We had to ask your group on more than one occasion to lower your music on board so the rest of the guests on board could hear the narration. It's likely you also missed some great commentary and information about the volcano due to this. We are sorry to hear you didn't find value in your discounted day at the park with us, but we truly feel there were many misunderstandings that led to this. We wish you the best in your future travels ahead.
We had a brilliant tour from Seattle to Mt. Rainier. The comfortable minibus ride from downtown Seattle took us through the scenic Kent Valley, with the opportunity to spot elk along the way. Our guide, Erika, was fantastic: warm, knowledgeable, and helpful. She gave brilliant commentary throughout, shared snacks and hot chocolate to keep us warm, and was brilliant at helping us take photos and explaining everything about the area. We made several stops, from snow-covered forests to stunning views of the volcano. Our final stop at Longmire was the highlight: plenty of time to snowshoe or wander around anything from volcanic streams to mountain ridges, with a nice gift shop and café too. Thank you for the fantastic day!
We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your day at the National Park with Erika! She's a gem and we'll be sure to pass your review along to her. Thanks!
The tour was excellent, the tour guide Mr. Andre was very energetic in giving tour information to the customers. He performed his job professionally not only history of sight-seeing places concerned, but he told us all useful information that customers asked. He talked friendly to all his customers. He also a good driver. We are happy with the tour today.
Our guide, John was amazing! He knew all the perfect photo opportunities spots and even took photos of all parties for their memories. He kept us on time with all stops as well. He knew what parts of the parks were closed or had issues and had alternative plans all while keeping the ultimate goal in play, Mount Rainier. He even had the forethought to allow us to buy lunch, drinks and snacks during our morning commute since the parks provisions were not open. Kudos John! We will always cherish our time there and memories made.
A fabulous day out to Mte Rainier, "Ranger Ron" was a brilliant tour guide and was so informative. Plenty of stops at so many interesting places along the way up the mountain. I would highly recommend this trip.
Ken was amazing. He kept us entertained while also sharing important information about the trip/ the town etc. the fellow passengers came from all over and they were very friendly too
Our tour guide Ken was outstanding. He was professional, funny, and knowledgeable. This is impressive when you consider we spent almost twelve hours together. Recommend him and the tour.
