Vanuit Padua: wijntour door de Colli Euganei

De Euganei heuvels zijn een groep van heuvels van vulkanische oorsprong die oplopen tot een hoogte van 300 tot 600 m van de padovano-veneta vlakte een paar kilometer ten zuiden van Venetië. Begeleid door de Local Tour Leader ga je naar het hart van de Euganeische heuvels om, dankzij een bezoek aan twee gerenommeerde kantines van het Eugenische gebied, de beste wijnbouwproductie in het gebied te ontdekken. De bijzondere vulkanische oorsprong van de bodem en het goede klimaat maken de teelt van verschillende druiven mogelijk. Onder de witte wijnen: de Serprino, een biotype van de wijnstok Glera, is de “vulkanische” versie van de Prosecco; de Pinot blanc; de Garganega, de Chardonnay en de Manzoni. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot en Carmènere hebben ruimte gevonden bij de rode. Tussen een wandeling tussen de wijngaarden, een bezoek aan de kelder en verschillende wijnproeverijen gekoppeld aan typische lokale producten luisteren we naar het wijze verhaal van de wijngaarden over de expressie van hun beste wijnen.

We bezoeken 2 van de beste door een familie gerunde wijnmakerijen in de Euganische heuvels. Een wandeling in de wijngaard, zicht op de vatenkamer en aansluitend een wijnproeverij gecombineerd met wat hapjes.

De tijden in de reservering zijn bij benadering en kunnen onderhevig zijn aan kleine variaties. Het agentschap neemt een paar dagen voor de tour contact met je op om de ontmoetings- of ophaaltijd te bevestigen. Een geldig contact (telefoonnummer met Whatsapp of e-mail) is vereist.

The guide was extremely friendly and patient, explaining everything along the way. In the wineries, the experience was fantastic, with tasting and explanations of the production processes. Highlight for a white wine on the second visit, which I had to bring some to taste with friends, since it is not exported to Brazil. An organic wine with orange flower perfume; I've never experienced anything like that. This is the Sili'ca of the Agricola Azienda Ca'Lunga.

It was a really positive experience, beyond expectations! The two tastings in iconic wineries of the Euganean Hills were superb: each glass was accompanied by interesting explanations, never trivial, which made us appreciate even more what we were drinking. The locations are wonderful, surrounded by greenery, authentic and rich in history. You can breathe the true soul of the Euganean Hills. And then Nicola, our tour guide, a great added value: we immediately felt his passion and expertise that made it all even more special! I recommend this tour to anyone who wants to live a different experience than usual, made of taste, beauty and discovery, led by a prepared and passionate person who really knows how to convey the love for this territory. I took part in this tour with my husband driven by curiosity to go and discover the much talked about Euganean Hills. We lived an unforgettable experience, full of stories and anecdotes thanks to the deep knowledge of the territory of our guide Nicola, born and raised in these beautiful places and rich in culture and food and wine traditions! We made 2 visits and two tastings in two of the most iconic wineries of the Euganean Hills tasting some really exquisite products. The tour “Olive oil and wine in the Euganean Hills” was perfectly organized and well executed. Our driver/guide Nicola was not only very charming and good humored, but also did an excellent job, particularly explaining the different types of oil we tasted and how to make use of our sensory equipment. The winery we visited thereafter was well chosen – a nice family-owned business that produces remarkable wines. The daughter of the family – an enologist herself – took us around and made the tasting an interesting experience. The drive itself to the oil mill and the vineyards was a little disappointing, as we did not see much of the hills: on the way out, we drove endlessly along a channel in the plains, and on the way back it was already dark. All in all, it was time and money well spent, we enjoyed the trip, and we can fully recommend LoVivo.

This is a beautiful drive in the countryside in an area of Italy most tourists never see. The wine tasting was wonderful and very engaging. The driver was friendly and helpful. He grew up in the area so he was very informative.

Our first trip to Italy did not disappoint. We had Nico as our driver and he was amazing. Very conversational, taught us a bit of history of the area, and pointed out a few beautiful locations where we were able to see fantastic views from the hilltops. If we come back to Padua, we will definitely ask for Nico again.

When there are wonderful things close to home, but you don't know it! My husband and I wanted to spend special moments together, but without committing to long trips. We found this tour and booked on the fly. The guys of the agency cute, the guy who accompanied us as well. Super nice. The tour is well organized, also suitable for those who do not have skills on wines because you are always accompanied .. but above all the locations are beautiful. We will book again some other experience, it's worth it!!

We left Rome to visit the wonder of the Euganean hills and thanks to Lo Vivo we experienced unforgettable days. The tastings were taken care of in every detail and accompanied by a breathtaking view. We had a lovely wine tasting tour to two very different vineyards, a modern one and a more traditional one. We loved the wines we got to taste there. And not to forget the amazing view at the first one and the tatsy cold cuts at the other one. And a big shout out to our guides, who were not only good informed, but also really funny and kind!
