Vanuit Nagoya : Kamikochi begeleide wandeling in de Japanse Alpen

The guide (Aemir) and driver (Iwasaki-san) was punctual at picking up the group (only 3) at Nagoya JR Train Station on 22 May 2026. The mini bus was clean and comfortable. Aemir gave helpful commentary about Nagoya City during trip and answered many of our questions especially on eating outlets. The first stop at the Flower Park was a good resting stop as well as for lunch. The walking tour at Kamikochi after lunch was splendid. Scenery of the national park was breathtaking, air was so fresh and the interesting commentary by Aemir made the trip well worth its value. The tour ended with Iwasaki -san dropping us directly at the hotel we were staying at Takayama. The option to end tour at Takayama instead of return trip to Nagoya helped saved the group much travelling time and hassle of managing our luggages onboard the trains to Takayama. I highly recommend this day tour to those looking for natural scenary and at a relaxing pace. To add, one of my travel mates were unable to join the tour and Snow Monkey Resorts was very professional and efficient in attending to the cancellation and prompt processing of refund. Very impressed with the service delivery throughout.

After such a great experience on our first day trip, we booked another tour with Kim to Kamikochi in the Japanese Alps, and she once again exceeded our expectations. Her knowledge of the region, history, and local culture added so much depth to the visit, making the beautiful scenery even more meaningful. Kim has a wonderful ability to adapt the day to her guests’ interests and pace, and she made everyone feel comfortable and engaged throughout the trip. She was especially great with the children, keeping them interested and making the experience enjoyable for the whole family. Kamikochi is breathtaking, and having Kim as our guide made the day truly memorable. A special thank you as well to our driver, Nakanishi, for ensuring a safe, smooth, and comfortable journey. We highly recommend Kim to anyone visiting Japan and looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and professional guide.

Kamikochi was amazing to experience and this tour gave us the perfect way to get there and back with ease! Kim and Vincent were fantastic guides! Both of them provided great information for Japan and the specific places we went Also they willingly answered every question I could think to ask! 10/10 would recommend to anyone coming to Japan and wanting to see some nature along the way.

Nice day tour to kamikochi, guided by aemir, he is friendly and well knowledged about the places and it's history. A must try experience.

We had a wonderful time visiting Kamikchi! We scheduled to come towards the end of the season and encountered rain and snow! Our tour guide Kim was very knowledgeable and friendly, providing many insights about the region and kept the ride interesting and fun. Our driver Iwasaki-san was very friendly and safe while driving in rainy conditions. The tour was well paced and I would recommend it for anyone curious about the Japanese Alps.

We joined the Kamikochi guided hike from Nagoya and had a wonderful experience. The transportation was smooth and comfortable, and our guide, Aemir, was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the schedule relaxed and enjoyable. The scenery in Kamikochi was stunning even in November — clear rivers, fresh air, and peaceful mountain views. One of the highlights was also visiting a beautiful flower park and farm on the Hirugano Plateau. We loved seeing the alpacas, horses, goats, and sheep up close. We were able to feed some of them, stroll through the garden, and enjoy the open nature. The whole day felt well-paced, unhurried, and refreshing — a good balance between nature walking and relaxing in a quiet countryside setting. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy Japan’s natural landscapes. We would love to return in another season to see how the scenery changes.

My sister and I had a great time with our guide Kim and driver! We loved the highland farm Bokka no Sato and had great walk through Kamikochi, we even saw monkeys! Kim was very friendly, helpful and had a wealth of knowledge about Japanese history and mythology. Our driver was very friendly and a great, safe driver. We had a very comfortable ride to and from Kamikochi. Thank you both for a great day! We will be sure to book again with Snow Monkey :)
