Na ongeveer 1 uur rijden sluiten we ons aan bij onze Gids.
Bij aankomst maken we een panoramische tour per bus om te genieten van het prachtige uitzicht over de stad vanaf de andere kant van de rivier de Taag, een must stop om de populairste foto van Toledo te maken.
Damasquinados Suarez Workshop biedt een onvergetelijke reis in de wereld van de damascene kunst, een eeuwenoud ambacht gebracht uit Damascus en geperfectioneerd in Spanje. Sinds 1927 staat deze door een familie gerunde werkplaats bekend om zijn prachtige sieraden en decoratieve stukken, elk gemaakt door fijn goud of zilver met uitzonderlijke vaardigheid en precisie in staal in te leggen. Bezoekers kunnen meesterambachtslieden aan het werk observeren, unieke stukken maken die het rijke erfgoed en kunstenaarschap van Toledo vastleggen. De gastvrije sfeer, het deskundige personeel en de oogverblindende selectie maken de winkel een must voor iedereen die op zoek is naar een authentiek stukje Spaanse cultuur en geschiedenis.
Onze wandeltocht begint bij het iconische Plaza de Zocodover, het hart van Toledo sinds de Arabische tijd. Dit driehoekige plein, ooit een bruisende Marketplace, toont eeuwen geschiedenis door zijn portico-gebouwen. Terwijl we dieper in de middeleeuwse straten van Toledo duiken, pauzeren we bij de Bron van El Salvador en doorkruisen we de pittoreske Balaguer Passage. We bewonderen het majestueuze stadhuis van Toledo en gaan naar het Stadhuisplein, waar de politieke, religieuze en gerechtelijke machten van de stad samenkomen. De tour culmineert in de prachtige gotische kathedraal, een meesterwerk van Spaanse gotische architectuur dat de skyline van Toledo domineert.
TOLEDO'S KATHEDRAALBEZOEK MET Gids, officieel bekend als de gotische kathedraal van Sint Maria van Toledo, is een prachtig meesterwerk van Spaanse gotische architectuur. De bouw begon in 1226 op de plaats van een voormalige moskee, die de rijke culturele transformatie van Toledo symboliseerde. Deze grote kathedraal, voltooid in 1493, beschikt over hoge torenspitsen, ingewikkelde ribgewelven en prachtige glas-in-loodramen. Bezoekers kunnen opmerkelijke kunstwerken van El Greco, Velázquez en Goya binnen bewonderen, evenals het sierlijke hoogaltaar en de indrukwekkende Custodia de Arfe, een gouden monstrans tijdens Toledo's Corpus Christi festival. De mix van gotische, Mudéjar en Renaissance elementen maakt het een must-visit erfgoed schat
VRIJE TIJD : Na het begeleide gedeelte heb je vrije tijd om zelfstandig te verkennen. Breng misschien een bezoek aan de Joodse wijk en dompel jezelf onder in de sfeer van Sepharad via de synagogen en musea. Dit is ook de perfecte gelegenheid om op eigen gelegenheid tot zeven monumenten te bezoeken, zoals de moskee, Santo Tome's Churche, het San Juan de los Reyes-klooster en meer.

It was a little disorganized. The guide's account is totally meaningless. The amount of the tour cost was applied twice to my card.
Toledo is cute I loved it, but the part I didn't like was that only at the beginning of the tour the guide was and in the cathedral the guide went with us. But then alone and we felt we had a hard time finding the places I paid for on the reservation. We couldn't find some places and I paid and we couldn't find. It also had an appetizer included. We didn't get it. If you would recommend it but not with the same company
Utterly incompetent management that has contempt of you, they don’t respect you may be a foreigner unfamiliar with the locations and roads and will not call to check in on your status/safety. The bus will even leave early before the appointment time without you. The bus you ride in is cramped, with a bad smell, and bugs flying. Before going to Toledo, you’re made to stop in a “workshop” to see examples of the “cities” craftsmanship. But what actually happens is you’re led to a gift shop where you can buy tacky cheap jewelry and samurai swords at a 20% discount. I imagine the tour group company gets a kickback for every sale made. Good for them! Once you’re in Toledo proper, the tour guide wastes your time by slowly walking you around unremarkable places and giving vague descriptions about the cities history without any memorable or interesting details. This goes on for over an hour of your time while the guide constantly refers to a map you have no opportunity of getting until the end, so you’re unable to map the path you walk with the city layout. Unfortunately I had paid in advance for a tour of the Cathedral which, like the earlier tour, was a waste of general “first result google search” of the history of the cathedral, there was more detail in the plaques set up by the city at every monument. After having 3+ hours of your trips valuable time wasted, seeing very little, learning next to nothing, and having little clue of where you are or where to go you get some free time to try to salvage your trip and visit the cities key spots before the time the bus leaves. The tour gives you a red wristband that gives you prepaid access to 7 out of 30 museums and historical sites you can visit in the city. I don’t think it’s possible to reasonably visit all of them, but considering your limited time is already wasted, you don’t know the city layout, and there’s no guide to those 7 locations, you may not be able to visit all of them and get your full value from this tour. The tickets to visit any museum or key location is 3-4 euros. It is cheaper to take a bus straight to the city outside of the tour and visit the locations you wish to see, paying individually. I do not recommend this group for any of their tours and if you wish to visit any of their listed locations, Toledo, I recommend an independent journey. I certainly will in the future.
Excellent content and coverage of the tour of Toledo . Bus comfortable and clean . Tour guide Jorge was fantastic , friendly , helpful and very knowledgeable . Only complaint was that we had to share him speaking Espanol with the other tourists . All English speaking would of been better .
We travelled from Madrid by train and on arrival, at the station, there was a tourist bus from City Sightseeing Toledo, and we were offered to take us to El Centro taking a panoramic tour and with audio explanations. There was the possibility to visit the Cathedral with Guide, which we used. it was great

We were on a trip from Madrid to Toledo with yellow tour. Not recommended. Better by train. Before taking us to the village we were stopped at a factory x metalworking and then taken to a shop x buy. I honestly didn't like it. They just had to take us to Toledo and show us around town. Really a bad impression. Also on the way back they dumped us at a stop away from where they had loaded us. Unpleasant experience. Better go by train and manage yourself.
