this was the only tour I booked on my two week stay in vietnam, and it was the most stressed that I felt. it felt very disorganised in that I wasn't told details in advance. for instance I had to text each night before when and who would be picking me up (was even told I was to be picked up from Hanoi when I had already left Hanoi), and had randomly been dropped off at the accommodation and had to ask how I would get the included dinner. the biggest disappointment is that I booked this tour over a month in advance for the 5 star boat they advertised and was put a boat that was 4 star and not the same standard. I said something when I arrived at the cruise terminal and they gave me a partial refund right away, but in the end I would have not gone with this company if I knew I would not be getting what was advertised. the cruise company did an exceptional job knowing my circumstance to give me a good experience., and the tour guide who led the day in ninh binh also did an amazing job.

The tour was very well organized and very efficiently operated. We enjoyed the days excursions although the hotel that we stayed at the night before the cruise was in a very remote area and we felt too isolated. There wasn't anything wrong with the hotel but it was a eco type place so it was sparse but had a restaurant and bar. The room was very clean. The ship through Halong Bay was luxurious and we had an exceptional cabin. We were very comfortable and well cared for. Unfortunately the weather was very overcast and grey but nothing can be done with that. Overall, it was a good trip.
