Ga aan boord van een dagtour met gids vanuit Athene naar de historische regio Nafplio en daarbuiten. Verken de oude stad Mycene, een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie, bekend om zijn Leeuwenpoort, Cyclopische muren en het graf van Agamemnon. Bezoek het iconische Epidaurus Theater, bekend om zijn buitengewone akoestiek en rijke culturele geschiedenis. Geniet van een stop in Nafplio, een van de mooiste steden van Griekenland, bekend om zijn romantische sfeer, Venetiaanse architectuur en schilderachtige charme. Vertrek vanaf onze terminal voor een dagtocht langs de kust Nationale snelweg voor het kanaal van Korinthe (korte stop).
Na het kanaal van Korinthe komt u in de regio van Argolis, het land van Golden Mycenae van Homerus, dat op de Werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Mycenae dateert uit de tweede eeuw voor Christus en was een van de belangrijkste centra van de Griekse beschaving en een militair bolwerk dat een groot deel van Zuid-Griekenland domineerde. Bezoek de archeologische vindplaats, de thuisbasis van het koninkrijk van de mythische Agamemnon. Je ziet de Cyclopische Muren, de Leeuwenpoort, de Koninklijke Tomben, waaronder Agamemnon Clytaemnestra's, en de Schatkamer van Atreus, een prachtige 14e-eeuwse B.C. structuur. In Mycenae krijg je de kans om te stoppen in een aardewerkfabriek.
Ga vervolgens naar Nafplio, de eerste hoofdstad van het moderne Griekenland, een stad vol geschiedenis en charme. Geniet van een begeleide wandeltocht door de oude stad en heb daarna vrije tijd om in uw eigen tempo door de stad te wandelen, de pittoreske straatjes, elegante neoklassieke gebouwen en levendige pleinen te verkennen. Geniet van het uitzicht op Bourtzi, het iconische versterkte eilandje in de haven, voordat u gaat lunchen in een traditioneel restaurant.
Ga verder naar Epidaurus en bezoek het oude theater. Het UNESCO-werelderfgoedmonument staat bekend als de geboorteplaats van Apollo's zoon Asklepios, de genezer en was het meest gevierde genezingscentrum van de klassieke wereld. Epidaurus is waarschijnlijk het meest bekend om zijn theater, een van de best bewaarde klassieke Griekse gebouwen en nog steeds gebruikt vanwege de geweldige akoestiek. Als alternatief kunt u een rustige wandeling maken door het kleine bos naast het theater of ontspannen met een kopje koffie of thee, genietend van de geluiden van de natuur. De dagtour keert in de late namiddag terug naar Athene.

Such a great day tour of ancient and modern Greece! Epidaurus and Mycenae are amazing! Corinth is interesting and Nafplion is quaint and has lots of dining and shopping options available. Our guide Katerina was very knowledgeable, efficient, and funny! Although just a day tour, we covered a lot of ground and many centuries!
This was an extraordinary experience to repeat. Unforgettable views and a great places. Helena was very kind and professional., she was happy to help and guide us. The drive was very responsible and punctual.

In Greece, one does not move around using public transport, so I chose this tour to visit part of the Peloponnese. Interesting visits to historical sites, Mycenae and Nafplio are special. I would have gladly stayed 30 more minutes in each place to enjoy the vibes more :)

I really enjoyed this tour, but I felt it was all very rushed at times. The stop at Mykines , I wasn't aware it was up a steep hill to get to the monastery, and I couldn't manage it (left my folding walking stick at the hotel) so I just went in the little museum (took 10 mins) and bought a slush drink, and sat alone for 45 mins waiting to get back on the coach. We stopped off at various places along the way, which were interesting (and quick visits) We then went to an archelogy site, with a stadium which was impressive, but the site, had no proper sign posts and you couldn't easily find your way around. We had been given an audio guide, but I was expecting the tour guide to take us around, but it was just information about each place we visited. Again not enough time to do at a leisurely pace. Then the final place was Nafplion. It was beautiful, but again an hour and a half wasn't long enough. I wandered around the shops (some interesting ones) and grabbed a quick sandwich, and then back on the coach. I would have liked longer in each destination, to not to be rushing around, and to take each place in at a good pace.
