Vanuit Abano en Montegrotto: wijntour door de Colli Euganei

De Euganei heuvels zijn een groep van heuvels van vulkanische oorsprong die oplopen tot een hoogte van 300 tot 600 m van de padovano-veneta vlakte een paar kilometer ten zuiden van Venetië. Begeleid door de Local Tour Leader ga je naar het hart van de Euganeische heuvels om, dankzij een bezoek aan twee gerenommeerde kantines van het Eugenische gebied, de beste wijnbouwproductie in het gebied te ontdekken. De bijzondere vulkanische oorsprong van de bodem en het goede klimaat maken de teelt van verschillende druiven mogelijk. Onder de witte wijnen: de Serprino, een biotype van de wijnstok Glera, is de “vulkanische” versie van de Prosecco; de Pinot blanc; de Garganega, de Chardonnay en de Manzoni. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot en Carmènere hebben ruimte gevonden bij de rode. Tussen een wandeling tussen de wijngaarden, een bezoek aan de kelder en verschillende wijnproeverijen gekoppeld aan typische lokale producten luisteren we naar het wijze verhaal van de wijngaarden over de expressie van hun beste wijnen.

in dit wijnhuis gaan we, na een bezoek aan de wijngaard en de kuiperij, op een panoramische plek zitten om typische wijnen te proeven in combinatie met een royale schotel vleeswaren en kazen, zodat we kunnen genieten van een echte pauze in de rust, goede wijn en lekker eten!

Je vindt je lokale gids voor je hotel in Abano Montegrotto of op het plein bij treinstation Terme Euganee. De tijden die bij de reservering worden weergegeven, zijn indicatief en kunnen enigszins afwijken. Nico was an exceptional guide. His passion and love for his community and the products of the region was clear at every step of the trip. My husband and I loved the wine and regional foods we sampled on this excursion. Easy pick up and drop off in a very comfortable and air conditioned van directly from our hotel. I would unhesitatingly recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys wine, food, and learning about the colorful Euganean region. It was definitely a highlight of our first trip to Italy.

The tour was great. We had a great time learning about the methods of making wine and enjoyed trying different varieties. Our tour guide/translator, Nico, was fun and went out of his way to answer questions and provided insight during the tour. It was an amazing day. Definitely would recommend.

Flying over the beauty of the Euganean landscapes, which remain as a beautiful setting, the guide Camilla moves through these places with elegance. Leave time to both enjoy the visit and enrich the tour with details and curiosities. The tasting is extensive and well organised, with even a tour of the harvesting machinery and a tour of the vines accompanied by the owners. Both cellar managers will be ready to describe to you every taste and aroma that you will taste in the wines, leaving you to understand the enormous passion they have for what they do. Of course, you can shop on site immediately afterwards and fill Camilla with questions. Camilla was our tour guide. She was a lot of fun and very knowledge about the are area and the wineries. She was fun to just chat with. We went to Terra Felice winery and it was one of the best. Very welcoming and charming. Felt like we were right at home. She is very passionate about her wine. Highly recommended. This was a highlight of our vacation.
