Hoewel de skyline, bergketens en kustlijn van Vancouver prachtig zijn vanaf land en water, is er niets te vergelijken met ze van bovenaf te zien. Deze 45 minuten durende watervliegtuigervaring biedt een verbeterd luchtavontuur voor degenen die meer willen zien in minder tijd. Vertrek vanuit de Coal Harbour in het centrum van Vancouver en zweef over de stad, Stanley Park en Lions Gate Bridge voordat u dieper de wildernis in trekt. Uw Expert piloot volgt een seizoensgebonden route die uitzicht kan bieden op de ruige Coast Mountains, verspreide eilanden van Howe Sound en beboste inhammen die onbereikbaar zijn over de weg of per boot. Vergeleken met de standaard Vancouver Panorama Scenic Seaplane Tour, voegt deze uitgebreide versie 15 extra minuten vliegtijd toe en biedt het meer afgelegen landschappen. Uw avontuur begint in de Vancouver terminal van Harbour Air in het Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre in Coal Harbour — op steenworp afstand van Canada Place, het Vancouver Convention Centre en Jack Poole Plaza, de iconische thuisbasis van de Olympische vlam van de Winterspelen 2010. Terwijl u wacht, kunt u genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op Stanley Park en de North Shore Mountains vanuit de passagierslounge, een kopje koffie drinken in het Cockpit Café of een kijkje nemen in de cadeauwinkel. Check 40 minuten voor vertrek in.
Eenmaal aan boord stijgt uw watervliegtuig op uit de wateren van Coal Harbour en klimt boven de stad. Je vlucht neemt je mee over de smaragdgroene uitgestrektheid van Stanley Park — een van de grootste stadsparken van Noord-Amerika — waar uitgestrekt bos de waterkant ontmoet op een manier die alleen echt vanuit de lucht kan worden gewaardeerd.
Dit is waar uw reis verder gaat dan de standaard panoramische tour. Uw route gaat verder naar het westen naar Howe Sound, een van de meest dramatische fjorden aan de kust van de Stille Oceaan van Canada. Onder je duikt Gambier Island op — een rustig, grotendeels onbebouwd toevluchtsoord waar dicht bos samenkomt met de oceaan, met een sereen en ongerept uitzicht op het natuurlijke landschap van British Columbia dat de meeste bezoekers nooit te zien krijgen.
Verder over Howe Sound vlieg je over Bowen Island — bekend om zijn torenhoge bomen, beschutte baaien en rustige kusten. Van bovenaf is de ongerepte wildernis van dit eiland boeiend, tegen de achtergrond van de besneeuwde Coast Mountains. Zowel Gambier als Bowen Islands zijn exclusief voor deze uitgebreide route en kunnen niet worden gezien op onze standaard panoramische vlucht.
Terwijl je vlucht terug naar de stad buigt, komt de skyline van Vancouver in dramatisch beeld - een opvallend contrast met de wildernis waar je zojuist overheen bent gevlogen. Van bovenaf geniet u van de dynamische mix van stedelijke energie en natuurschoon van de stad, waarbij de waterkant, de haven en de bergwereld allemaal tegelijk zichtbaar zijn.
Het BC Place Stadium daalt af naar de stad en valt op als een van Vancouvers meest iconische bezienswaardigheden in het centrum — gemakkelijk te herkennen aan het kenmerkende dak en de prominente positie langs de skyline van de waterkant. Als officiële locatie voor de Voetbalwedstrijden van 2026 heeft het dit jaar nog meer betekenis voor bezoekers.
Ook zichtbaar langs de False Creek waterkant is Science World, een van Vancouver's meest herkenbare bezienswaardigheden, de iconische geodetische koepel een bepalend kenmerk van de skyline van de stad vanuit elke hoek - en bijzonder spectaculair vanuit de lucht.
Uw watervliegtuig maakt een soepele waterlanding terug in het Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, waarmee uw uitgebreide luchtavontuur wordt afgesloten. In 35 minuten vliegtijd heb je twee compleet verschillende kanten van Brits-Columbia ervaren — de levendige energie van een van Canada's grootste steden en de rauwe, ongerepte wildernis eromheen. - Passagiers die niet zijn ingecheckt vóór de uiterste inchecktijden, kunnen niet aan boord van hun geplande vlucht en krijgen hun vlucht niet terugbetaald.
- Als u met kinderen reist, houd er dan rekening mee dat het kindertarief geldt voor kinderen van 2 t/m 11 jaar op het moment van vertrek.
- Digitale Tour Gids App. Download de app vooraf op je iOS of Android apparaat, of download hem bij het inchecken.
- Vertaling is optioneel. Als u ervoor kiest om de spraakfunctie te gebruiken, neem dan uw eigen koptelefoon mee en gebruik deze.
- Een mobiliteitshulpmiddel, zoals een rolstoel of wandelstok, mag door een passagier worden gebruikt om van de terminal naar het vliegtuig te komen, maar passagiers moeten de mogelijkheid hebben om met minimale of geen assistentie in en uit het vliegtuig te lopen.

Had looked at this tour online but booked direct with the agent at their offices. No real saving just a few £££ in exchange rate. Check-in process was easy and Harbour Air office is large and comfortable to wait for trip. Small shop with various items for sale and cafe with assorted drinks and snacks. Pilot was friendly and out plane only had 5 passengers so everyone had a window seat. No guide as such and pilot doesn’t point out where you are or what you can see as he is busy and aircraft is quite noisy. They suggest you download their map which comes with a narrative but it’s not that clear when to start it or how it works and pilot made no reference to it. That aside flight was great although it was quite cloudy pilot kept us below clouds and view was amazing. We did consider changing day for flight due to rainy cloudy weather but if you try within 24 hours this is difficult and if you get them to agree it will carry a fee. I would reassure you that even with low cloud and rain it’s still worth going and we are glad we went ahead with trip. Take off and landing was super smooth and even with some turbulence from the clouds and wind off the mountains whole flight felt safe and enjoyable. All in a bit of a once in a lifetime experience and given the chance we would defo do again. Could be better if they explained the app more and told you when to start/ how to use to get a guided element to the trip.

It would have been a better experience if the pilot had told us what we were seeing…if some type of audio isn’t doable, at least provide a handout or map of what we’re looking at or the route we were taking. I think you could have provided some interesting highlights.

Expensive tour to be put between windows, under wing, with supports blocking view! leaning forward blocked wife's view!

It was a great flight and one to remember also because the weather was so great and we got to see from sea to snow everything, however we got a bit scared during turbulences and it would’ve been a bit better if the pilot had communicated a little bit more with us. Like Infos (height, speed, when half the time is gone, turbulences are fine etc)

We loved the scenic views, a great thing to do in Vancouver ! Remember to take identification !! We were typically English and let everyone else push in front of us to get on the plane but karma played her hand, the best seats are the last two at the back of the plane so hang back and get on last 😊

From the comfortable lounge, friendly staff, to clean and well maintained airplanes it was an amazing experience. 10+++.
