Ontmoet je Gids bij de ingang van Historic Gastown, buiten Monaco Coffee op de kruising van Cordova en Water St.
Nadat we een lang vergeten steegje zijn gepasseerd, komen we bij het historische Hotel Victorian om te ontdekken hoe het leven van ons karakter vorm kreeg ... en wat hen echt was overkomen in de Klondike.
We betreden de geplaveide straten van de beroemde wijk Gastown in Vancouver ...
We weven een pad naar Gastown, ontdekken achterom en steegjes, om in het hart van Gastown aan te komen bij de beroemde stoomklok. Onderweg hoort u de tragische verhalen van de vrouw in de bron en het Great Vancouver Fire en ontdek Gastown in de 19e eeuw.

Na verhalen over pokken gehoord te hebben, George Vancouver's reis naar het einde van de wereld, en het beruchte schunnige huis van Madam Birdie Stewart, kom je uit in het iconische Maple Tree Square - een van de meest gefotografeerde en geliefde locaties van Vancouver.

We had such a great time touring Gastown with “Sarah” (Amy) and learning all about Vancouver’s history. Definitely recommend!
Absolutly great experience. The acting of Amy was simply amazing.
Our guide was fabulous, very engaging and a great storyteller! It was really fun to hear about some of the early Vancouver history. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone. Content may be a little much for really young children, but our teenager had a great time.
It was a fun way to learn more about the history of Vancouver and Gastown. The guide who interpreted George was great!
Another fine tour from Forbidden Vancouver Tours. Entertaining historical walking tour from Forbidden VancouverTours which some of the admission's fee goes to charity and the tours promote local business in the neighborhood and give back to the community. Many of the tour guides comes from the performing arts professions. This tour guide was in old Victorian dress carrying a lantern so easy to find and follow. One learns a lot of history of scandalous affairs, small pox and measles epidemics, quarantine, mass graves at deadman's island at Stanley Park, prostitution, city fire, railway, transition from wooden housing to brick, gambling, organized crime, bribery and murder. The tour guide was so entertaining as she acted out the characters; she's an actress. I wanted to give a shout out to her but unfortunately I forgot her name. I think it's Izzy. You can pose for a picture with her, tip her in cash, electronically or charge. She will answer questions and give out recommendations. Very much worth it, never boring. Truly the Wild Wild West.

This is an amazing tour of Gastown Vancouver, part truth and part ‘story’ but all fantastically brought to life by our guide, such a great, entertaining night.

Our guide was an amazing storyteller (Jolene aka Sara) and was very engaging with her audience. We were very impressed with her performance! We leaned a lot about the history of Vancouver.

Very organized and entertaining. Joelle was enthusiastic and really had a gift of storytelling. Engrossing stories about the history of Vancouver/Gastown. The format of walking about Gastown and stopping to listen to each story ensured that everyone could get close to hear well and no one felt left out.
