Absolutely brilliant experience. Wilma was our naturalist and she was amazing; I learnt so much from her. The other staff members were also excellent especially on a day when the sea was choppy and their expertise was needed. We were very lucky and got to see a humpback whale breaching amongst other whale behaviour, an orca pod, harbour seals and an eagle in the distance. The boat trip took us out along the Georgia strait and up Georgia Sound. Our family full enjoyed the morning and fully recommend it and would happily repeat the experience.

We had an absolutely excellent time. We saw orcas and humpbacks as well as seals, bald eagles, and even a raccoon! The facilities are clean and easily accessible. The guides were VERY knowledgeable and friendly. We traveled with children, and the large size of the boat allowed for mobility on the long ride--an absolute life saver. The fact that they have a photographer on board made the whole trip so much more pleasant. It allowed us to really enjoy the moment without having to see everything through a lens, and the photos we received were great! I would 100% recommend.

We saw a family of three whales (later learned they were known as Forge, Ocean, and the baby). The little fellow was flipping and having fun. It was hard to time the pics. I realized later that it was best to take videos. I got a video of the dad and attaching a still frame from it. It was awesome. Later part of the tour was pretty amazing -- closer to the mountains -- and in the region the water turns jade color (from the glaciers). Had run out of battery by then. The tour guides of this Prince of Wales trip were excellent. Our guide was the young fellow talking upstairs (sorry, forgot the name!!), he was extremely passionate about whales and the environment they were describing. Bald eagle came up often and often. Highly recommend this trip. It was my second-best whale watching trip ever.The first was over 20 years ago in Boston area when there were many whales. Now they are not seen much in the Boston area.

We had an incredible whale watching tour! Seeing the whales up close was absolutely breathtaking and an unforgettable experience. A special thank you to the girl who was our guide and Jack for making the tour even more enjoyable. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the wildlife, sharing interesting facts throughout the trip. Everything was well organized, and we felt safe and welcomed the entire time. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an amazing adventure!

I have experienced multiple whale watching tours in SoCal. Most of them end up being dolphin watching tours. To all my SoCal kin, you must book this. It’s stunning. The ride itself puts you in a tranquil state of reflection. We were fortunate to see a whale breaching and playing, a bald eagle, other sea life, and our captain and crew was fantastic. Special thanks to Jonah — personable, knowledgeable, and quite frankly the best guide I’ve had in a whale watching tours. Excellence is how id describe this.

We went on a whale watching tour in VBC on Monday July 20th , 2026. I was not expecting much ch since I am a frequent boater from the Caribbean. To my surprise, we got much more than we thought we would. The Captain, Anthony and his Crew were amazing. Wilma had a thorough knowledge and people skill to friendly keep us all entertained and safe. We saw 3 humpback whales (1 of them breached giving us an unexpected spectacle. We were able to see a pod of 2 to 3 Orcas, Bald Eagle and Harbor Seals. I recommend this trip and was motivated to give the crew a great tip. 🐋

This tour was really amazing. During this tour, we saw killer whales, humpback whales, sea lions, seals. The crew were really knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks a bunch, Captain Roman, Connor, Wilma, Belu gu, Tabin and it was so great to join your team again and enjoy this trip. I strongly recommend these people.

A lovely day out with the Prince of Wales team to the Vancouver Island coast. We saw a humpback whale and to seal colonies, alongside a few bald eagles and other birds. The sea conditions were lumpy, but the crew operated the boat safely and ensured that everyone had a good view of the wild and sea life. Would love to go again next time we are in Vancouver.

What a great experience! The staff was caring, helpful and very knowledgeable. We got to see (and photograph) whales, sea lions and eagles. A professional photographer will take pics of the animals that they see. These are shared with you via an email link. Be careful with Ubers. They will NOT take you to the spot.
