We beginnen de reis naar de heuvel van 14 kleuren, ook wel bekend als de Serranías del Hornocal. We vertrekken vanuit de stad Salta om de provincie Jujuy binnen te gaan, waar we de Quebrada de Humahuaca zullen bezoeken, een UNESCO-werelderfgoedlocatie. We passeren de stad Volcán, Purmamarca, waar we de majestueuze Cerro de los 7 zullen vinden. Kleuren; Tilcara; Humahuaca, de grootste stad in het ravijn; Uquía, een klein stadje waar de oude schilderijen van de Arquebusier Angels zich bevinden; Huacalera, waar we op de denkbeeldige snede van de Steenbokskeerkring stappen en uiteindelijk La Paleta del Pintor in Maimará. Zodra u Uquía bereikt, stapt u over op een 4x4-voertuig waar u op de weg naar Hornocal kunt genieten van het prachtige panoramische uitzicht. Op de terugweg is er een stop van 20 minuten in Humahuaca. Het wordt aanbevolen om eten mee te nemen voor de lunch, aangezien er geen tijd is om te stoppen bij een restaurant in Humahuaca.

Good afternoon We could not carry out the excursion on the scheduled day because our arrival flight to Salta City was delayed. A comprehensive tour of several lovely towns throughout the Quebrada de Humahuaca with our informative bilingual tour guide, Jesi. We enjoyed seeing the artisanal crafts and the small museums in Purmamarca and Tilcara. The trip to Hornocal is something we will never forget - nature’s bargello! - and we managed to catch a small herd of vicuñas on the way down. Amazing.

We had an amazing day. Our guide Fabio was amazing. He made the entire trip so entertaining and it felt more like a trip with family and friends than with a travel agent.
