Van Messina: privérondleiding door Savoca, Taormina en Castelmola

Zodra u van het schip stapt, wacht ik op u bij gate 5 van de cruiseterminal. Vanaf hier beginnen we onze reis naar Savoca, die ongeveer 1 uur met de auto zal duren
Aangekomen in de kunststad Savoca, een klein dorp waar talloze scènes uit de film "The Godfather" van Fred Francis Coppola zijn gefilmd, stoppen we bij de Vitelli-bar, bekend als de bar in de film, waar deze zal zijn mogelijk om een typisch Siciliaanse granita te proeven. Een andere stop tijdens onze tour is de kerk van "Santa Maria in cielo Assunta", die we ook terugvinden in enkele fragmenten van de film, zoals die van de bruiloft tussen Michael Corleone en Apollonia.
Eenmaal aangekomen in Castelmola kunt u een van de mooiste dorpjes van Italië bewonderen en amandelwijn proeven in de beroemde Bar Turrisi, die bekendstaat om zijn fallische decoraties. Deze symbolen moeten niet als vulgair worden beschouwd, maar eerder als symbolen van vruchtbaarheid, voorspoed en vrijheid, volgens de ideeën van de Griekse cultuur. U krijgt ook de gelegenheid om amandelwijn en heerlijke Siciliaanse cannoli te proeven.
De laatste stop van onze tour is Taormina. We komen aan op Piazza San Pancrazio, waar reizigers hun rondreis zullen maken en de karakteristieke straten van Corso Umberto kunnen bezoeken, de prachtige landschappen kunnen bewonderen en naar het Grieks-Romeinse theater van Taormina kunnen gaan (de kosten van het toegangsticket zijn uitgesloten van de prijs van de tour).
Zodra onze tour voorbij is, keren we terug naar Messina, maar voordat we je naar het schip brengen, nemen we je mee op een rondleiding door het historische centrum van de stad, waar het mogelijk zal zijn om enkele van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden te bewonderen, zoals het panorama van Christus de Koning, de kathedraal van Messina en de zeer beroemde astronomische klokmonteur van onze stad.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Het ontmoetingspunt is bij de cruiseterminal, bij de uitgang van gate 5. Daar sta ik, Fulvio, uw chauffeur, op u te wachten met een bordje met uw naam erop. Eenmaal samen begint uw tour. Tours beginnen meestal om 8.00 uur en eindigen om 16.00 uur, afhankelijk van de aankomst- en vertrektijd van het schip.

Marisa and Fulvio, our guide and driver were phenomenal. Marisa was extremely knowledgable and shared so much information about each of the places we visited as well as the history of Sicily over many years. She was very bubbly and had a great sense of humour. We were treated to local wine and a cannolo during our visit to Castlemola. She brought Sicily to life for us, a truly special trip we will never forget. We would highly recommend this trip. We were picked up and dropped off at our cruise ship and well looked after throughout the day. Communication prior and during the trip was excellent.
We had an absolutely delightful 10/10 day with the wonderful Marisa! She was an excellent guide on all locations, offering us insight into the people, food, culture, language and sites of Sicily! Our group loved her casual style and laid-back approach as we navigated all the areas, yet left us time to shop, grab a drink, and fellowship together. WE APPRECIATE YOU MARISA! Great job!

We felt it was good value for money being a full day tour. We visited Savoca, Castelmola & Taormina as well as the town centre of Messina. The tour and organisation. Of the day was well thought out and a good mix of visiting all of the iconic and beautiful places as well as a little free time to explore. You cover a lot of ground in this tour. Coming into Messina you will have about a 1 hour drive to Savoca.

Our tour with Fabrizio was the best tour we’ve ever had. He tailored it to our family and gave local advice that was priceless. He took us to Savoca, Taormina, and Castlemola. He showed us secret spots that most tours wouldn’t know about. We saw Catacombs, local churches, lookout points, with amazing views, and ruins. He recommended the best local restaurant and snacks. He made sure to take the scenic route and explain all of the local areas, legends and history. At the end, he bought us almond wine and cannolis. It was an amazing experience that our family will never forget 💕
The driver and guide met us right at the port. Communication as awesome. Our tour guide, Marissa, was AMAZING!!! She was fun, funny, accommodating, well spoken and an all-around perfect guide. Fulvio met us at each destination and was also a great guy. I VERY HIGHLY recommend this tour. The towns we visited were spectacular. My mother had mobility issues and they were even accommodating to those needs. Great tour!!
Fulvio and Aurora were our guides on this private tour for 7 of us. Every one of us enjoyed it very much. Both Fulvio and Aurora took the best care and explained things very well. The sites were amazing and with their expert guidance we were able to see everything we wanted to see. Fulvio is a precise driver and also full of knowledge with the best manner. Aurora was a delight to each one of us, personalizing information to our taste. Wish we had more time because we didn’t want it to end!!! Highly recommended 😀👍🏻‼️
