Ontdek de mystieke schoonheid van Sintra en de Atlantische kust tijdens een premium e-bike tour. Deze volledige dag ontsnappen uit Lissabon is ontworpen voor degenen die de perfecte overgang van weelderige bergbossen naar de verfrissende zeebries van de kust willen ervaren. Bergen & paleizen : Begin in het hart van het natuurpark Sintra-Cascais (UNESCO). Verover moeiteloos heuvels met onze elektrische fietsen om unieke paleizen, majestueuze bosjes en "dorpen uit een ander tijdperk" te ontdekken, en stop bij granieten uitkijkpunten voor een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht. Naar de Atlantische Oceaan : Het avontuur gaat bergafwaarts naar de kustlijn. Rijd door wilde stranden, duingebieden en hoge kliffen en bestrijk ongeveer 40 km van de diverse landschappen van Portugal. The Coastal Finish : Na verborgen paden en eeuwenoude bossen komt u aan in de badplaats Cascais. Het is de ultieme ontsnapping aan de drukte van de stad – frisse lucht, een prachtig landschap en diepe verbinding met de natuur.

De tour begint met een briefing over hoe de fietsen werken, bij Largo da Severa, Mouraria in het centrum van Lissabon. Je gaat dan naar Rossio station om de trein naar Sintra te nemen. Tijdens de treinreis heb je de tijd om je Gids te laten weten of je onderweg enkele paleizen wilt bezoeken of dat je gewoon wilt fietsen.
Als je in Sintra aankomt, kun je het Nationaal Paleis bezoeken als je wilt. Het grootste deel van uw fietstocht vindt plaats in het natuurpark Sintra-Cascais.
Je hebt de mogelijkheid om Quinta da Regaleira, gebouwd tussen 1904 en 1910, en een plaats bekend om zijn symboliek, magie en mysterie te bezoeken.
Kort nadat u Seteais passeert, een voormalig 18e-eeuws paleis dat nu een 5-sterrenhotel is.
Vervolg uw reis langs wegen geflankeerd door majestueuze bosjes totdat u de ingang van Park en paleis van Monserrate bereikt, een van de mooiste creaties in de stijl van de Portugese romantiek.
Kom aan bij Colares, een plaats die bekend staat om zijn wijngaarden.
Ga verder naar het dorp Penedo, waar u kunt genieten van een adembenemend uitzicht vanuit het atrium van de kerk, voordat u verder fietst naar het dorp Urgueira. Neem een pauze voor de lunch in het dorp Azóia, waar u een grote verscheidenheid aan restaurants vindt.
Met hernieuwde energie vervolg je je tour door een oud bos en ga je naar het Peninha-heiligdom, gelegen op 488 meter boven zeeniveau.
Vanaf hier heb je een panoramisch uitzicht op de Espichel-Kaap en Arrábida, in het zuiden, Carvoeiro-Kaap en de Berlengas, in het noorden, en de hele Sintra-berg in het noordoosten. Terugkerend naar het centrum van Sintra, fiets je bergafwaarts en kijk je nog een laatste keer naar Pena Palace, een belangrijk monument van de Portugese romantiekbeweging. Je reist met een informatieve en behulpzame gids, even gepassioneerd door geliefde Sintra als over fietsen.
U kunt ook naar het wilde strand van Guincho gaan - met zijn eindeloze duinen en typische winden die zo gek zijn op liefhebbers van windsurfen - totdat u het fietspad naar Cascais bereikt.
Keer terug naar Lissabon door de prachtige stad Cascais met de trein, waar u een van de meest fantastische uitzichten over de Portugese kust heeft.

We had a great day of biking (family with 2 teen children). Incredibly beautiful scenery. Bruno was our guide. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, with excellent English. Lunch was cheap and delicious at a cafe with the locals. A decent riding distance covered - made easy by e-bikes and lots of interesting stops along the way. Very few cars on the roads. Water fountains all the way along the route and we had a swim in the ocean at the end.
This trip is absolutely awesome. While the route is great and the sites are memorable Bruno makes it all come together. Bruno greeted us warmly and made sure the group on our ride was introduced. He was very attentive to our safety throughout the ride. We felt like family by the end of the trip. He helped us navigate the crowds in Sintra and then guided us through the incredible nature park and all the way to the beaches in his hometown of Cascais. We had a wonderful lunch, family style, at Refugio do Ciclista with a group of locals. The views from the mountains above the beach are spectacular. The ride provided a good workout even with the e-bikes. We did over 23 miles with 200 feet of elevation gain. I would highly recommend this trip!
Our guide, Daniel, was amazing! He took us to the mountains, the sea shore, castles, and to a phenomenal authentic Portuguese restaurant. He was full of interesting historical facts, and so very kind.

Fantastic cycle tour with Bruno. Great route with lots to see. Bruno stopped and explained each place of interest in detail while keeping us all safe. We would highly recommend this trip.
Book direct, a bit cheaper. The whole day was amazing. Our guide-Bruno, very cheery, knowldegable and looked after everyone. Train from Lisbon to Sintra included. Mixed ability riding group helped by the well maintained e-bikes. Stopped at a local cycle cafe- meal, desert and glass of local wine €10. 100% recommend. Thank you.

Absolutely fantastic trip. Ricardo the guide we had was amazing. Great cycling route, fantastic views and great stops for coffee and lunch. We travelled to Sintra by train with the bikes and this was a great experience too. Would really recommend this tour. We have been on 3 tours since we arrived in Lisbon for our weeks holiday and this one was definitely the best. You would definitely need to be able to use a bike and be a confident enough cyclist in traffic etc but you would not need to be too fit as the e bike does all of the work on the steep climbs. A great day out of the city, well organised and relaxed.
We did the tour in german with Claudio as a tourguide. We had a really great time. We thought about renting ebikes and do some tour on our own, but we are so glad we didn't! It was a perfect mix about just enjoying the nature and scenery and learning about the history. Maybe it was because our guide Claudio always let us lead the experience. I think without Claudio we would not have driven this really magnificent route. And even if we did by chance, without our guide we maybe wouldn't have felt completly safe as we did all the time. Claudio was really open minded and we felt comfortable to ask about all aspects of the past and current life in Lisboa/ Portugal and he was super friendly and courteous for the whole length of our trip. The bikes and helmets were of perfect quality. It was our first guided ebike tour, but it will definetly not be the last! Thanks again to Claudio and of course to all the other people involved letting us have this experience which we surely will remember for quite some time.
An absolutely fantastic bike tour! Bruno was an outstanding guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. He shared interesting historical insights with a perfect balance between learning and enjoying the ride. The route itself was beautiful, with stunning views throughout, and the pace was just right.
