De collecties concentreren zich op kunst van de middeleeuwen tot het begin van de twintigste eeuw, waaronder meesterwerken van middeleeuwse kunstenaars als Dieric Bouts, Jan van Eyck en Hugo van der Goes. Is gelegen in het centrum van Amsterdam aan het Museumplein, naast het Van Gogh Museum. Het Van Gogh Museum is een kunstmuseum gewijd aan de werken van Vincent van Gogh en zijn tijdgenoten in Amsterdam. Een jaar na de opening in 1973 werd het door Willem Waltz samengestelde museum uitgeroepen tot een van 's werelds grootste musea'. Het museum opende met werken van Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet en Paul Cézanne.

Het Van Gogh Museum is een Nederlands kunstmuseum gewijd aan de werken van Vincent van Gogh en zijn tijdgenoten op het Museumplein in Amsterdam Zuid, vlakbij het Stedelijk Museum, het Rijksmuseum en het Concertgebouw.
Het Rijksmuseum is opgericht in 1818, maar het is niet zomaar een museum. Het Rijksmuseum is zelfs het nationale museum van Nederland en herbergt een verscheidenheid aan stukken van Nederlandse en Vlaamse middeleeuwse tot moderne kunst. De collectie omvat een breed scala aan onderwerpen en omvat meesterwerken van Vincent van Gogh, Rembrandt van Rijn en Peter Paul Rubens.

Juan was outstanding as his knowledge of Van Gogh and the 17th century artist was phenomenal. My wife needs a wheelchair for Montana Juan saw to her every need. Two of the three of us ha been to the two museums in the past. Juan was by far our best tour guide. Three cheers for Juan!

If you only have one afternoon and want to see the highlights of both the Van Gough and Rijks museums this is an excellent solution

Rob is an amazing tour guide. He is knowledgeable, patient and flexible. We had a great tour of the Van Gogh museum but were surprised to discover that the Rijksmuseum closes at 5, effectively cutting an hour from our allotted time. If it were not for that, I would have given this activity 5 stars.

Rob, our museum guide, was excellent. He handled our multi generational group with ease. He was willing to be flexible with our plans allowing for a quick break between the museums and finding elevators for my mom. His knowledge of the museums made our visits efficient and educational.
