Dit is niet het Van Gogh Museum, maar een unieke ervaring die de boeiende band tussen deze twee Nederlandse meesters moet belichten. Het verhaal ontvouwt zich echt om je heen, of je er nu voor kiest om achterover te leunen in comfortabele zitzakken of een ontspannen wandeling door de kerk te maken. Je ziet maar hoort ook hoe Van Gogh diepe inspiratie vond in Rembrandts schilderijen, etsen en de bredere artistieke opvattingen van de grote meester. Dit is een unieke kans om diep in Van Goghs artistieke perspectief te duiken en een frisse lens te bieden om zijn werk te bekijken. Misschien zie je Rembrandt zelfs wel als de oorspronkelijke beïnvloeder van de kunst, en schep je een precedent voor artistieke inspiratie die eeuwen later diep resoneerde met Van Gogh. De tentoonstelling Van Gogh & Rembrandt in Amsterdam vertelt het verhaal van hoe de twee schilders met elkaar verbonden zijn, hoe Van Gogh gefascineerd raakte door Rembrandt en zelfs door hem geïnspireerd raakte. Binnen in de monumentale Noorderkerk kun je zitten, liggen of rondlopen terwijl je hun verhaal in je opneemt. Het wordt verteld via Van Goghs brieven aan zijn broer en kunstwerken van beide kunstenaars. Een verhaal verteld door licht en geluid Van Gogh & Rembrandt in Amsterdam is de eerste son-et-lumière (geluid en licht) show die op zo’n grote schaal te zien is in een rijksmonument. De show gebruikt het hele interieur van de Noorderkerk, van de muren tot de rand, als decor om een 360° bewegend canvas te creëren. Binnen in de kerk word je omringd door zonnebloemen, engelen en bloesems terwijl je de bewondering ervaart die Vincent van Gogh had voor Rembrandt van Rijn. Wees op tijd voor uw gereserveerde tijdsloten, als de show is begonnen zijn er geen inzendingen toegestaan. De show duurt 40 minuten. Let op : dit is niet het Van Gogh Museum.

This was our first experience following arrival to Amsterdam & we were a few minutes late arriving to the location (taxi assumed we were going to the museum). We were allowed into the cathedral but missed a few minutes of the experience. It was calm & peaceful & beautiful & enjoyed.
Not a very good experience, boring for us. The Van Gogh immersive experience I had before was great, maybe I had high expectations….
It was very beautiful and a wonderful way to learn more about Van Gogh and Rembrandt. It was also nice that you received a booklet after the 40 min performance.
In the Noorderkerk in Amsterdam there is a temporary experience: Van Gogh & Rembrandt in Amsterdam. This is an immersive 3D exhibition with many projector projections. In the church you will discover the story of Vincent van Gogh and Rembrandt van Rijn. The images projected onto the walls create a beautiful scene and a special film experience. The performance lasts 40 minutes and tickets are for sale for € 20,- via the website. Unfortunately, the performance is mostly in English. There are Dutch spoken performances, but there are very few. Last week I visited this experience myself. I had specifically booked a ticket for the Dutch show of 14:00, but to my regret English was still spoken. I really think this is a flaw of the organization. It is difficult to understand if you do not have a good command of the English language. Moreover, it is a pity that there are so few Dutch representations; after all, it is in the capital of the Netherlands and it concerns two typical Dutch painters. A missed opportunity!

What a deception if you have seen the light show in Utrecht before. Messy with annoying chandeliers in front of the statue. It's just fragments of paintings. No recommendation. Discount to be obtained with museum card should be possible, but how? Bad information when booking.

It was fascinating!! Imagine you are in a place that both Vangogh and Rambrandt had visited it! You are in the middle of artistic history! And the light show was absolutely lovely! And the behavior of the guidde was also so kind. I loved it really much...

That was an amazing experience. I loved the multimedia setting and the vibrant colors and animated paintings paired beautifully with great story and pleasant music. I was amazed the whole time and didn't want it to end! The guid was also super friendly and nice, and I really enjoyed talking to him after the show. Knowing that you are in a place where two great artists have also been in, made it so special to me as well. I really recommend everyone to visit and enjoy this perfect multisensory experience!

Go! It’s fantastic. A look into the artist’s life and mind. Easy to get to and you can sit in a pew or lay on mats on the floor.

Very relaxing and a cool way to learn and experience both Van Gogh and Rembrandt. Fancied this over the museum and would thoroughly recommend. You can lay down on a double bean bag bed, totally relax and take in the immersive experience. Staff all very good, informative, happy and welcoming and very safety conscious.
