Ga mee op een avondexcursie en volg cryptische radio-uitzendingen en de slepende sporen van twee lang geleden wandelaars om het schilderachtige padhoofd te vinden waar de echte reis begint. Dit pad leidt naar een plek vol schoonheid, en het bewijs dat de legendes van Whistler waar zijn. Moment Factory, een wereldwijde Leider in video, licht, geluid en speciale effecten, brengt deze zomer de bossen van Whistler tot leven met een gloednieuwe show. Deze 1,5 km (zomer) / 1 km (winter) trail door een oud groeibos neemt bezoekers van alle leeftijden mee op een uur durende multimediale nachtwandeling op zoek naar verborgen wonderen. De gehele ervaring vindt buiten plaats binnen een trailnetwerk dat gedeeltelijk geëgaliseerd maar niet geasfalteerd is. Het parcours gaat eerst de heuvel op via een gematigde helling en een paar trappen alvorens terug naar beneden te gaan - de achterste helft van het parcours is vlakker. Inclusief op- en afstappen zijn er grofweg 275 traptreden.

Elke avond na zonsondergang begint de magie van Vallea Lumina. Deze activiteit is gezinsvriendelijk en alle leeftijden zijn welkom om zich te vergapen aan de verborgen wonderen van het bos. Gasten komen aan in ons schilderachtige Cougar Mountain-basiskamp, waar ze kunnen genieten van gratis parkeren, aanbiedingen van ons café zoals warme chocolademelk, koekjes en s'mores-kits die kunnen worden genoten bij onze vuurkorven en wasruimtes. Tijdens de rondleiding worden de gasten ingecheckt door onze Rangers en beginnen ze aan het pad van 1 km door een betoverd bos. De onverharde paden slingeren door het bos en over rivieren, met magische lichtjes en mysterieuze geluiden die de weg wijzen. Vallea Lumina leidt naar een plek vol schoonheid en het bewijs dat de legendes van Whistler waar zijn.

This was a magical experience for the kids at night. The lights and music were super cool and it wasn't creepy at all walking in the forest at night. The kids really enjoyed it.

It was so cool!! The forest was magical. There are a lot of stairs throughout the experience but doable. We loved the "base camp" and staff too. We highly recommend and would bring friends to do it again!

DO NOT RECOMMEND. The website is highly misleading. While framed as an immersive forest walk, it actually tells a story of abduction of a grandfather and his granddaughter. We brought our children anticipating an impressive light show as one sees from the website as well as marketing videos, but the creepy sounds, haunting storyline, and frankly short experience (< 30 minutes) made for something that meaningfully varied from expectations. It left our kids (4 year old and 6 year old) terrified. Worse yet, I reached out The Adventure Group to express concern and frustration and they didn’t even write back. This wasn’t that surprising after we watched major mishaps with some of the groups trying to attend the show the night we were going. They don’t seem to have their stuff together, and the marketing of this experience felt intentionally misleading to extract money from patrons.

This experience is incredible. Awesome beautiful lights everywhere you look and holograms make this one of the most incredible light shows I’ve ever seen. You don’t want to leave……. I wanna live here.. 🥰 The running river with the salmon was amazing. I felt about this like the first time I saw Cirque du Soleil.….. pioneering.

As a Senior couple we found several issues. The shuttle location was hard to find (no directions to the location). The trail description is inaccurate for summer as there are multiple stairs with poor railings (slippery wood or loose rope rails). The inclines were quite steep and sometimes in places slippery. Fall hazards are numerous (we used a flashlight for our safety). The theme is magical and visual effects are meaningful, but this tour is best left to the more physically able (245 stairsteps!

My husband and I booked this while we visited Whistler last week. I had read reviews and even though there were remarks about the terrain and the steps, we were quite surprised to find the paths with loose big rocks, poorly lite and A LOT of stairs. The walk actually took away from the enjoyment of the lights and story because we were afraid of twisting an ankle. The guide at the beginning gave a half hearted story telling. Told we would see guides along the way and saw 1 at the beginning..
