Hola soja Vivi! Ik heb van mijn passie mijn werk gemaakt. Ik ben een persoon met veel verschillende interesses, maar waar ik het meest van hou is het ontvangen van mensen, reizen en heerlijk eten. Wat is een betere manier om de verborgen juweeltjes en geschiedenis van de stad te ontdekken dan door een gepassioneerde lokale foodie volgen? Tijdens deze unieke 3 uur durende wandeling verkennen we de belangrijkste historische bezienswaardigheden en gastronomische geneugten van de oude binnenstad van Valencia - Er is veel meer dan alleen paella! - Geniet van de meest iconische tapasbar van de stad, genietend van een klassiek Spaans aperitief -Proef een vers gemaakt, traditioneel Valenciaans drankje, dat je zelden elders vindt -Bezoek de fantastische Centrale Markt – een van de grootste van Europa. Proef je weg en leer meer over de ingrediënten van authentieke Spaanse recepten -Ik vertel je alles over de fascinerende wereld van de Spaanse tapas in familierestaurants, waar geschiedenis, passie en liefde in elk recept schuilt!

We beginnen bij ons ontmoetingspunt, de kathedraal van Valencia, met een introductie tot de oude stad. Vervolgens passeren we iconische steegjes en kerken en lopen we naar een traditioneel café in de buurt om vers gemaakte horchata te proeven. Je leert hoe dit unieke Valenciaanse drankje wordt gemaakt en hoe je het drinkt als een local in combinatie met een heerlijk licht en luchtig gebakje, een farton genaamd.
Op weg naar de Centrale Markt verkennen we het oude deel van de stad met zijn kleurrijke gebouwen, prachtige pleinen, en je zult de geweldige sfeer van het gebied voelen! We maken onze tweede stop bij een traditionele snoepwinkel! Onze altijd favoriet!
Bij onze derde stop bezoeken we een stadsoriëntatiepunt dat bijna honderd jaar oud is; de ongelooflijke Centrale Markt. Hier leer je over de meest traditionele Valenciaanse gerechten, proef je de beste Spaanse ham (met eikels gevoede Iberische ham), evenals ambachtelijke Spaanse schapenkaas. Terwijl we op de markt zijn, voegen we ons bij de lokale bevolking in een kleine tapasbar van boer tot bord - wees klaar om een Spanjaard te worden!
Op weg naar de volgende overheerlijke ervaring, zie je een van de meest emblematische gebouwen in de oude stad - La Lonja - en een paar andere culturele juweeltjes. We gaan dan naar een van de allerbeste, traditionele tapasbars, die erg geliefd is bij Valencianen. Het is geopend sinds 1946 en is altijd gespecialiseerd in verse vis. Terwijl je tapas eet, leer je alle tips en trucs om van tapas te genieten als een local.
Aan het einde van onze voedselreis proef je verrukkelijke, overheerlijke Spaanse croquetas (gemaakt met ham van eikels) terwijl je geniet van het meest authentieke Spaanse aperitief. Het is de perfecte laatste traktatie voor je smaakpapillen! Zodra we ons eindpunt hebben bereikt, bewonder je de prachtige basiliek van Valencia en neem je afscheid van je lokale gids en nieuwe vrienden :)

Vivian was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable about food, the city's history, and the local culture. Kept us engaged and interested through our multicourse tasting.
Absolutely loved this tour, Vivi is amazing her knowledge of Valencia is excellent, we were a small group of 4 me being solo was lovely to meet other travellers. We visited the old town, Vivi shared the history of Valencia, the food and drink was amazing on our tour she picked the best places and also recommended other places to eat. I will definitely be trying. If you're visiting Valencia this tour is a MUST DO. Thank you Vivi for a fabulous experience of history food and drink x
Vivi was an absolutely brilliant guide - she was extremely knowledgeable and happy to talk us through through the variety in each of the places we went. We had a good range of different types of food, great recommendations for other activities and had a fantastic time talking through the history of Valencia.

Vivi was wonderful tour guide. Very informative and engaging. We got a good amount of food and drink. We had a group of 10 and everyone had a great time.
Vivi was lovely from the start. She tried to learn our names right away, though they were quite difficult. She was interactive and engaging. She was full of enthusiasm and picked a variety of foods for us too experience. She was even able to accommodate people who were not meat eaters. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
We had a fabulous experience with Vivi. There were 10 of us on the tour, we are all family and we were celebrating the 60th birthdays of most of the crowd. It seems like an older crowd of us but we are all young at heart. Vivi did an amazing job of keeping all 10 of us together and enjoying ourselves during the tour. It is not easy to herd ten siblings and cousins, but she did a great job and showed incredible patience. The food was lovely and Vivi provided a nice historical context for what we were eating and how the different items took on iconic status. We highly recommend taking this tour.
Vivi was amazing! We had done a walking tour the previous day of the same area, but her tour allowed us unique insights into Valencia. She was friendly, knowledgeable, entertaining, and accommodating. We mentioned we did not care for mushrooms, and she immediately found a different dish for us. Definitely give this tour a try if you are curious about local areas and eats!!
Absolutely brilliant tour! Vivi was fantastic - lots of fun information about the area, the food, the restaurant owners/operators, and of course herself. I can’t believe how lucky we were to find her. It was a lovely afternoon spent wandering, learning, chatting and eating. I highly recommend booking with Vivi. We had two under 18 and two adults. While we had no major dietary accommodations, she was always accommodating with non-alcoholic beverages for the younger ones. We will definitely book with her when we return.
Vivi’s tour was absolutely fantastic! I travelled to Valencia with my two daughters and my sister. We always book a food tour at the beginning of our trip to a new location and Viví did not disappoint. Even though the heat was unbearable, she kept us engaged with bits of history, culture, and of course delicious bites to eat around the historic center of Valencia. I was so grateful that our group was small so we were all able to participate and learn from her. I would absolutely recommend this tour to families and small groups over any of the larger tour companies.
