Als je naar Bolivia reist, is een dagtrip naar de Uyuni Salt Flats iets dat je niet mag missen. Vaar over out-of-this-world landschappen en neem ongelooflijke perspectieffoto's in 's werelds grootste zoutvlakten.

De Salar de Uyuni of "zoutvlakte" is een van 's werelds hoogste woestijnen, omringd door bergen en vulkanen die 5000 meter boven de zeespiegel reiken. Je rondleiding begint om 10.30 uur vanaf het kantoor. De eerste stop is het 'treinkerkhof' van Uyuni, waar de eerste locomotieven in Bolivia te zien zijn. Je bezoekt dan de kleine nederzetting Colchani (workshops van zoutmijnen naast de zoutvlakten). Hier zie je handwerk gemaakt van zout en textielkunst gemaakt van lama- en alpacavezels. De tour gaat verder naar de grote zoutvlakten van Uyuni, die op een hoogte van 3650 meter liggen. Maak foto's terwijl je langs de uitgestrekte witte zoutvlakte vaart, bekijk Los Ojos de Agua Salada ('zoutwaterogen') en bezoek vervolgens een hotel dat volledig van zout is gemaakt! Deze geweldige plek doet momenteel dienst als museum.
Na deze overvolle ochtend ga je na de lunch verder naar "Isla Incahuasi" (Viseiland), waar je tijd hebt om een wandeling naar de top van het eiland te maken om gigantische cactussen en rotsformaties gemaakt van versteend koraal. Zorg ervoor dat jij en je groep poseren voor leuke perspectief- en verhoudingsvervormde foto's, gemaakt tegen de achtergrond van het opvallende witte oppervlak van de zoutvlakten. Daarna gaan we naar een rustige plek om de prachtige zonsondergang over de zoutvlakten te zien. Eindig in het dorp Colchani en ga ten slotte om 18.30 uur terug naar Uyuni

- AANBEVOLEN PAKLIJST: zonnehoed, zonnebril (om uw ogen te beschermen tegen de felle schittering van de zoutruiten), zonnebrandcrème, jas, handschoenen, wollen hoed, trekkingschoenen, warme sokken, waterfles, snacks, persoonlijke medicatie, camera, handzeep , persoonlijke EHBO-kit.
- Belangrijk: tijdens het regenseizoen (van november tot april) is het niet mogelijk om het eiland Incahuasi te betreden. Er is echter de mogelijkheid om het eiland te bezoeken als het op de dag van uw tour niet regent. We kunnen ook op een andere locatie slapen vanwege toegang tot de weg
- Belangrijk: tijdens het winterseizoen (van mei tot augustus) is het niet mogelijk om toegang te krijgen tot het Eduardo Avaroa National Park (rode lagune, Dali-dessert, groene lagune). Er is echter de mogelijkheid om de zwarte lagune en de rotsvallei te bezoeken, wijzigingen in de route kunnen zonder voorafgaande kennisgeving worden aangebracht, afhankelijk van de weersomstandigheden. U kunt ook op verschillende locaties slapen, afhankelijk van de toegang van het voertuig.

Fantastic full day tour organised by Banjo Tours. Our guide, Nadia Ponce Inturias, picked us up off our flight from La Paz and with the help of Zenon, our driver, dropped us off for the fabulous Todo Tourismo overnight bus back to La Paz. Nadia possessed an excellent command of English and was extremely knowledgeable regarding the geological history that formed the flats, the wildlife and vegetation. A red wine and cold meat surprise over sunset on the flats capped a memorable day. Thanks Nadia, Zenon, and Yanet in the Banjo Office for providing us with one of our best ever tourist experiences!!

The place is wonderful, with landscapes that look like from another planet. We all loved it, we took some beautiful pictures
My experience was unforgettable, it is a very adventurous place!! Our guide Juan was excellent, always willing to help. The only thing we didn't like was the hike to high heights, but it was worth it!!! The most beautiful thing is the water mirrors.
Surprising atmosphere, learning that it is a sea of salt for several km. really worth the trip. Fantastic landscape.
The driver was very very lazy and did not care. Guide was Just OK. The first half of the day was tour of slums and stops to get our $. Did not come all the way to uyuni to be driven around see their friends and try to take our $. Lunch was bad we didn’t eat it. Once we got to the salts flats it was beautiful. Do not take this tour!
Had a very knowledgeable guide that can tell you everything you want to know and more about the history of the area. Had some red wine and chips at sun down and got to see a great sunset with a reflection! Our guide refused to stop searching until we found the perfect spot to catch the sunset with a reflection which you don't always get to see due to rain and wind conditions being unfavorable.
They take you to several places in this huge expanse in 4x4 vans, with good photographers who take advantage of the reflection of the water and the orientation of the sun. Wear proper clothes, they give you the boots. Have fun in the middle of this magical and extraordinary place.
<p>Salt Flats were amazing. If you have the time, 3 day tour would be great to do with Red Planet. I only had time for the one day tour and the guides were awesome. Really fun and knowledgeable. The guide took us to a secluded area on the salt flats so we would be the only one in our pictures and spent so much time taking photos and had different ideas as to what we should do and try. Great day.</p>
