RM Guided Tours Coimbra is ontstaan uit het idee om bezoeken aan de Universiteit van Coimbra om te zetten in een unieke ervaring, waarbij de rondleiding op een interessante manier wordt omgevormd tot een aangename ervaring van kennis en culturele verrijking. Daarom proberen we in ons bedrijf altijd de prachtige geschiedenis van de Universiteit van Coimbra te combineren met het heden en de gewoonten die onze instelling tot op de dag van vandaag doordringen. Dit is allemaal mogelijk gemaakt door de opleiding die we hebben op het gebied van geschiedenis, sociologie en toerisme. Onze medewerkers zijn oud-studenten van de Universiteit van Coimbra, wat grote waardering en kennis met zich meebrengt voor onze diensten. Het bezoek aan de Joanina-bibliotheek is elke twintig minuten gepland. Er is een weergavetijd van de bibliotheek van maximaal 10 minuten en er zijn geen foto's binnen toegestaan.

Fantastic tour with Guide Renan who brings history to life. Excellent knowledge of the past in good English. Very enjoyable. Highly recommended.
our travel agent set us up with a guide for this tour. it was fascinating. So, not only is it a university with kids running around in robes like Hogwarts but it is also a palace and museum. On top of it, the library is fascinating, as was the chapel. They were playing the organ when we were there. There seemed to be a question about whether we really wanted to do this tour and I dont know why because, it was a great experience!

Renan was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable about all the different aspects of the Coimbra University. He spoke English well. I highly recommend this guided tour with Renan because he provided a lot of history beyond just the sites. He gave background about why certain buildings and contents were present. He included historical events that gave a wonderful picture. He is also a former student so provided how current and past students used the buildings.

Filipe was an excellent guide! I can’t imagine going to the university without the inside knowledge of the history he provided. The library information alone was outstanding, but we learned so much more than that on his tour. Highly recommend!
This is a fabulous 90-minute tour of the Royal Palace, the Chapel and the Joanina library. Our guide Felipe gave us just the right amount of history and explanations, with a fun sense of humour. He was extremely knowledgeable and easy to chat with. The tour allows you to bypass any lines into the sites, and you don't have to deal with tickets for each one. Felipe did it all with his phone. The pace of the tour was just right - not rushed nor too slow. We highly recommend it!
Our guide Felipe Freitas was great! He is just a living history book, knows so much and tells so enthusiastically, we enjoyed it!
