Uw reis begint met een schilderachtige rit door de prachtige landbouwgrond van Lancaster County terwijl een van onze deskundige lokale gidsen de geschiedenis van de regio tot leven brengt. Stop bij de boerderij waar de Academy Award-winnende film "Witness" werd gefilmd. Je krijgt de kans om de prachtige Amish-boerderij te bezoeken die nog steeds hetzelfde is als in de film, interactie heeft met hun vele dieren en mogelijk de geweldige Amish-familie ontmoet die de boerderij bezit. Dit is een volledig privé-stop en niet beschikbaar voor het publiek. We stoppen bij een privé en mooi Amish-huis, waar de kinderen vogelhuisjes maken. Wees getuige van het vakmanschap van Amish in de ambachtelijke stal en schuur - en koop een vogelhuisje als je wilt.

We maken een rondrit door de prachtige landbouwgrond van Lancaster County en leren over de geschiedenis, cultuur, religie en opvoeding van de Amish. We zullen gebouwen zien die verband houden met de allereerste Europese kolonisten van meer dan 300 jaar geleden, overdekte bruggen, 19e-eeuwse molens en meer op weg naar onze eerste stop.
Stop bij een door Amish gerunde en geëxploiteerde creamery, waar uw ijs is inbegrepen, en de uitzichten zijn ook gratis. Dit is ijs zoals het hoort... rijk, vers en lekker!

This tour is so much more than just visiting the commercialized Amish house tours in the area. If you want a lot more depth, I couldn't recommend the tour enough. Our tour guide (Moses) was a wealth of information, and you could tell that he really is part of the local community. He's a great guide and added a lot of interesting insights and background that we never would have known without the tour. Highly recommend!!!
Our Tour guide Moses, was very personable and treated us like family. His knowledge of the history of the Amish and Mennonites was valuable to our experience. All of our questions were answered in detail The group size is limited which resulted in an experience that was personable. We loved the family homes that he took us to and the ice cream was wonderful Thank you Moses. We highly recommend unique Amish immersion in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

We enjoyed our Amish immersion tour and found it to be a very informative way to learn more about Amish life and culture. Our van arrived on time, and the vehicle was clean and very comfortable. Our guide Sandy was extremely knowledgeable and gave detailed explanations of Amish life as well as describing places we visited along the way. At various points she specifically invited questions, and she answered everything anyone asked. Our only small disappointment was that we would have enjoyed a little more personal interaction from our guide. We would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Lancaster County who would like to learn more about Amish life and culture.

Our guide Sandy was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. She had a deep understanding of how the Amish people live. She shared their way of life and their customs. She started the tour with a discussion of how the Amish first established themselves in the United States. She spoke about the history to present day. It was truly a very interesting experience and I’d highly recommend if you’re in the Lancaster area to take this tour.

This was an amazing experience. Living near Ohio Amish country I thought I knew a lot about the Amish, but this tour with Moses taught me so much more! Moses was very friendly, knowledgeable, and an absolute pleasure to be with. He had a wonderful relationship with the Amish families who owned the farms we visited. Very impressive! This was an excellent experience. Our guide, Moses shared so much history of the Amish and Mennonites from their arrival to present day lives. The van was very comfortable. We would highly recommend using the offered ear pieces even if you are not hearing impaired as it makes it easier for Moses. The length of the van and the air conditioner makes it difficult to hear and you won’t want to miss his dialogue! The farms we visited were beautiful and the tour through the country side added to the whole experience. Of course the delicious ice cream was a must have!

The guide was great, nice first experience in Lancaster Amish area. It would have been perfect if the tour included a stop at the Amish restaurant/cafeteria.
