U kunt kiezen tussen Tuk-Tuk of Air-conditioning Minivan. De ophaaltijd is ongeveer om 8.00 uur van het hotel en eindigt rond 16.00 uur. Rijd ongeveer 45 km / 1 uur op National Road 5 naar de Udong Mountain eerst in de ochtend om het warme weer te vermijden. Eenmaal daar aangekomen, wordt u door de Gids geleid om de top van de berg ongeveer 2 uur te verkennen met op en neer lopen van noord naar zuid. Daarna bezoekt u het grootste boeddhistische centrum van Cambodja dat naast de uitloper ligt. Daar loop je ongeveer een uur met de chauffeur. Het is een goed idee om de snacks mee te nemen, want de lunch is om 13.00 uur bij Silk Island aan de rivier met een prachtig uitzicht. Op weg naar Silk Island steek je Tonle Sap rivier over via een brug en moet je de Mekong rivier oversteken met de veerboot. Een bezoek aan een zijdeboerderij is echt interessant ook met de landbouw langs de weg. Deze tour is inclusief alle entreegelden, water en bootcross ook bij elke halte uit te leggen.

Loop ongeveer 2 uur op en neer om Vijf verschillende plaatsen op de top van de berg te zien. Er zijn veel verhalen te vertellen. De Tuk-Tuk chauffeur gaat ook met je mee naar boven.
Hier zullen we binnen de compound wandelen als we niet kunnen rijden in de meditatie plaatsen. Deze plek is echt goed om te leren over het boeddhisme en het nemen van een goede foto van de berg en tempel gebouwen en mooie tuin.
Om naar Silk Island te gaan moeten we een veerboot nemen die de Mekong rivier oversteekt ongeveer 10 minuten. Eenmaal daar aangekomen stoppen we bij een lokaal restaurant voor de lunch met een geweldig uitzicht op de Mekong rivier. Daarna is het rondrijden door het dorp en dan binnenkijken in de zijdeboerderij met de Gids. Lunch is niet inbegrepen.

I went on three tours with Mr Sop. I did the kickboxing one, silk island and a tuktuk to the killing fields. Mr Sop is very knowledgeable and tells great stories to explain the history and culture of Cambodia. I had an early flight and Mr Sop helped organise a quick tour of the killing fields so I could see it before I left at a very good price. Highly recommend especially if you need to tailor the tour to your plans

Mr. Sop was by far the best guide we had during our stay. He took us to amazing places like Udong Mountain and the Buddhist temples of Vipassana Dhurak, and between each stop, he shared fascinating Khmer myths and legends, the country’s history, and its culture—with plenty of humor and good spirits. He was incredibly attentive, making sure we were comfortable and even providing snacks and drinks throughout the tour. Furthermore he is a great photographer 😉 We can’t recommend Mr. Sop enough for anyone wanting to truly experience the beauty of this country!
