Een van de oudste en meest karakteristieke straten in het historische centrum van Madrid. De weg verbindt de Puerta del Sol met de Almudena-kathedraal en het Koninklijk Paleis en loopt dwars door het Madrid van de Habsburgers.
De beroemde fontein die de godin Cybele vertegenwoordigt, een van de meest erkende symbolen van Madrid, gelegen in het hart van de stad.
Deze laan, gelegen in de wijk Salamanca, herbergt enkele van de meest prestigieuze boetieks van internationale en Spaanse merken, maar ook juweliers, haute couture-winkels en eersteklas restaurants. Behalve dat het een paradijs is voor winkelliefhebbers, valt Calle Serrano ook op door zijn klassieke en statige architectuur, met historische gebouwen die de pracht van het aristocratische Madrid weerspiegelen.
Plaza de Colón is een van de meest emblematische ruimtes in Madrid, gewijd aan de beroemde ontdekkingsreiziger Christoffel Columbus. I was surprised by the tuk-tuk tour and walking tour!! I highly recommend both, as one complements the other. In one, you see the historical landscape and can see a lot, in the other, you feel part of the story and can see more detail! The guide Camila brought an expertise that made everything worth it, because she brought depth and knowledge and made the whole experience even more complete. I highly recommend!
