Deze 13e-eeuwse kathedraal is de bekendste bezienswaardigheid in Trogir. IT beschikt over een indrukwekkend Romaans portaal gebeeldhouwd door Meester Radovan en biedt een panoramisch uitzicht vanaf de klokkentoren.
Gebouwd in de 15e eeuw door de Venetianen, verdedigde dit fort aan zee ooit de stad. IT biedt vanaf de muren een fantastisch uitzicht over de Adriatische Zee en de oude stad.
Gelegen tegenover de kathedraal, behoorde dit paleis toe aan de adellijke familie Cipiko. De gotische en Renaissance details weerspiegelen de rijkdom en invloed van de familie tijdens de 15e eeuw
De noordelijke poort markeert de hoofdingang van de oude stad. Wandelend door IT zie je nog steeds delen van de oude stadsmuren die Trogir ooit beschermden tegen indringers en nog veel meer.
Het Radovanportaal is het beroemdste en artistiek belangrijkste monument in Trogir. Het werd in 1240 door Meester Radovan gebeeldhouwd en wordt beschouwd als een meesterwerk van Romaanse beeldhouwkunst in Kroatië.
De Sint-Sebastiaankerk is een klein maar belangrijk renaissancemonument in het hart van het centrale plein van Trogir. Het werd gebouwd in de 15e eeuw als een gelofte van de burgers van Trogir uit dankbaarheid voor het einde van een verwoestende plaag, zoals Sint-Sebastiaan is de patroonheilige aangeroepen voor bescherming tegen pest en ziekte.
Het centrale plein van Trogir, officieel bekend als het Johannes Paulus II-plein, is het historische en sociale hart van de stad. Omgeven door enkele van de belangrijkste monumenten van Trogir, is het plein al eeuwenlang het centrum van het openbare leven.
Het stadhuis (Loggia) van Trogir is een van de belangrijkste burgerlijke monumenten in de stad, gelegen aan het centrale plein van Trogir. Gebouwd tussen de 13e en 15e eeuw, diende het als een openbare ontmoetingsplaats waar burgers samenkwamen voor aankondigingen, ceremonies en het dagelijkse gemeenschapsleven.

I walked around the promenade looking for the location..for an hour & couldn’t find the location..so I returned to split…so I’m very disappointed
Mihaela was a delightful tour guide. She taught us all about Trogir, and some facts about Croatia that were new to our group. Trogir itself is a beautiful island city. I highly recommend this tour.
Daniella was great. She incorporated her and her family experience into the tour which gave it a special touch. She was also very accommodating to my wife, finding a place to sit whenever possible as she has trouble standing in place for too long.
