Zodra u voet aan wal zet in deze rust genaamd Lao Chai Ta Van dorp, zult u onder de indruk zijn van het natuurlijke landschap met terrasvormige rijstvelden op de heuvel, kabbelende beekjes en wilde vogels die elkaar roepen.

Begin met een trekking vanuit je hotel naar het dorp Y Linh Ho, trek vervolgens door de rijstterrassen en langs de Muong Hoa-stroom naar het Black Hmong-dorp Lao Chai om het spectaculaire landschap van de Hoang Lien Son-berg te zien. Daarna gaat u naar Ta Van dorp - de thuisbasis van de Dzay etnische bevolking. De trekking afstand is ongeveer 9,5km en duurt 3,5 uur.

Hiking in Ta Van and Lao Chai is a must-do for anyone visiting Sapa. We were surrounded by beautiful rice terraces and unspoiled nature. The local culture added to the experience, with friendly people welcoming us. Lunch was delicious local food. The trip was made even more special by our homestay. The trek requires good shoes, but the rewards are breathtaking views, especially from April to September.
