Treasures Of Ancient Turkey Tour 14 Days Small Group

We recently undertook a 2 week tour with Fazli of Serendipity Tours in Turkey. Turkey has some spectacular scenery and ancient sites and Fazli was able to tell us all about it. He is an expert in all aspects of Turkey and extremely knowledgeable. He and the driver knew exactly where to go and when to get there. He is also a very pleasant person who is willing to help if you struggle with difficult terrain. We would highly recommend Fazli to anyone who wishes to tour Turkey. In fact, we would say don’t even consider anyone else. He will take you to all the bests spots then a lot more that others don’t even know exist. Fazli adjusts to his guests’ needs and knows when and where to stop for toilets etc. We would highly recommend him for any Turkey tours.

We had the most amazing time on this tour. Fazli, the company owner/operator, guided us around the historic sites of Istanbul and western Turkey. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable taking time to provide lots of information, sharing stories and historical facts and making sure that we were always comfortable, well informed and enjoying ourselves. We booked this tour as it was recommended by friends who we shared the tour with. The most important for us was that it's a small group tour of a max of 8 people, which makes it very personal and much more enjoyable. The tour covered 3,000 kms over the two weeks so there is a fair amount of driving. The mini-van was very comfortable and air-conditioned, water was provided, the driver was very helpful and the days were always broken up by lots of comfort stops and breaks to see other things along the way. This was an in-depth tour taking us to some amazing places in comfort and we highly recommend it. Fazli was a fantastic guide and travel leader, thanks so much, we had such as great time. We are looking forward to joining you on your eastern tour of Turkey.

A memorable trip. Fasli is a great guide and made it very worthwhile - attending to all my needs and questions. I would not hesitate in recommending his tours. Highlights of the tour for me was visiting Göbekli Tepe and Karahan Tepe and Mount Nemrut.

We recently completed the Treasures of Ancient Turkey Tour. There were seven of us in the group. Fazli, our guide, was very helpful and knowledgeable. He did his utmost to make it a great trip and went out of his way to ensure that everyone enjoyed themselves. Fazli knows Turkey and its history like the back of his hand. He has designed an interesting and well balanced tour. The sites we visited were fascinating and we really enjoyed having Fazli explain the history and cultural contexts. He also ensured that we arrived at sites when they weren't too busy. The hotels were very comfortable and the food was delicious. Fazli ensured that we got to experience many different types of Turkish food, there were options to suit everyone. He explained the choices and assisted us with ordering. Our driver Fevzi looked after us very well and drove very safely. Turkey is a very beautiful country and we felt very safe. We flew Turkish Airlines internally and they were excellent. We have no hesitation in recommending Serendipity Tours Turkey.

I highly recommend this tour of Turkey. Our guide, Fazli, was very knowledgeable and passionate about ancient history and modern Turkey. The trip was interesting and a lot of fun. I nearly cancelled my trip because of the war in the Middle East, worried that it might spill over into Turkey. I’m so glad I didn’t. Nowhere we went, including close to the Syrian border, felt dangerous in any way. The Turkish people themselves did not seem concerned about the conflict spreading to their country. All in all I have great trust in Fazli and serendipity tours to keep us safe and provide a great experience.

Fazli of Serendipity Tours gave us one of the most memorable guided tours. We did the 14 day tour of ancient Turkey. He is one of the most knowledgeable tour guide we have had. He brings history, geography, archealogy and science into his explanations. His explanations were very comprehensive be it of the Blue Mosque from 1600 ACE or Gobeckliteppe from 9600 BCE. We enjoyed every minute of our tour with Fazli. The small size of our group was ideal, and everything was scheduled with our comfort and interests in mind. Fazli took care of our every need and made it possible to extend our trip to include more time in Turkey. Fazil took care of the changes in travel, including our flights, transportation to and from the airport, and changes required at our hotel. It all went without a hitch or a hassle. It made our trip wonderful. We were delighted.

Let's start with important stuff. Our guide and our driver. Our guide was brilliant! His knowledge of each site, places to eat, places to stay, I don't know how you could improve that. Fazil also knew when to be at a place. This meant we had more time at each site before the big crowds showed up. Our driver, Mr Fevsi, was great! Got us to all our destinations safely, knew the route like the back of his hand. Kept out chariot clean and ready to roll. The itenerary covered so many amazing places it's hard to say which was my favorite. Troy, Cappadocia were marvelous. But the museums in Instabul, Gaezientep, and Urfa were superb. Fazil knew the best place for bacalva, spices, coffee, outside of the toursit traps. Turkey is truly a remarkable country. And some of their best ambassadors are the Anatolian Shepherd dogs who wander freely. These are not abused or starving animals, rather, they are free wanderers and seemingly well looked after by their local communities. We met many, well fed and friendly dogs. Overall, the small group tour is the way to go. And Serendipity offers a unique experience you will treasure for a lifetime. Great job and Thank you!
