**Traditioneel Turks bad De geschiedenis van het bad gaat terug tot de oude Romeinen. Opgravingen in de stad Pompeii, onder de as na de explosie van de Vesuvius-vulkaan, onthullen de baden die door de Romeinen werden gebruikt. In dit opzicht had het Ottomaanse Rijk evenzeer een plaats in de Ottomaanse cultuur als het traditionele Turkse bad, de verbale literatuur en het dagelijks leven.

- Badkleding : Een bikini of zwembroek zijn vereist voor de Turkse Bath, schuimmassage en het zwembad.

Amazing experience. Picked up at our hotel and driven to the spa. Welcomed and everything explained then onto the treatments. Fabulous experience. The only piece of advice I would give is that teenage girls / early 20’s should be given a female for their Hammam to make them feel more comfortable.

The minivan ride to the Spa was great - we got to see a lot of the surrounding area. The massage was excellent and my masseur was lovely. But at the Turkish spa reception I felt as if I was just going to be processed and they wanted to upsell me by adding on a longer massage. The lights in the women’s shower did not work and toilet light flickered on for a few seconds. The shopping bowl inside the spa was slimey on the bottom. The spa room itself was lovely and as I said the masseurs were very good. I loved the scrub and massage.

It was very good overall and a true Turkish bath experience. It was a little confusing about where to go at each stage, need a better selection of slippers to wear, the massage was good but not real deep and they need an air-conditioned van for transport as it was uncomfortably hot for everyone, it was not a short drive. That said I do recommend this experience

This was an overall very pleasant experience and I hope I can find something similar at home. By the end, I just wanted a nap, I was so relaxed. I do feel like there should be options here for the extra services offered by the spa but there was no pressure to upgrade. Please be advised you should bring/ wear a bathing suit, we did not know this as it was our first time going and I didn't read that anywhere on here. Much of this experience was mixed genders and you could end up with either gender doing the services. Also, if you are coming on a cruise ship you might encounter traffic and it becomes a long ride to the spa. Schedule an early time slot as this might be your only excursion of the day.

Men and women get scrubbed and washed in the same room. I was not aware that I was supposed to wear a swimsuit. I had to wear my underwear and bra in front of strangers while everyone else seemed to get the swimsuit memo. It was embarassing. The whole facility seemed a little creepy.
