Ervaar de schoonheid van het tropisch regenwoud, het strand en de kanalen tijdens deze excursie van een hele dag met een professionele gids en haal alles uit uw tijd aan de Caribische kust. De tour begint in Puerto Limon, waar u kunt genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over de stad. U komt meer te weten over de geschiedenis van de stad en maakt een boottocht over de kanalen van Tortuguero. De tour stopt ook bij een bananenplantage zodat u wat heerlijk tropisch fruit kunt proeven, en we brengen een bezoek aan het nationale park Cahuita. Een minibus met airconditioning is beschikbaar om u op te halen en af te zetten bij de haven.

Geniet van een korte stadstour door de stad Limon, waar je gids een deel van de cultuur en geschiedenis van deze haven zal delen. Je bezoekt ook een uitkijkpunt, een geweldige kans om een panoramisch beeld te maken van de stad en de scheepshokken.
Geniet van anderhalf uur varen over de Tortuguero-kanalen in een overdekte boot. Uw gids zal u wijzen op de planten en dieren in het gebied en u meer laten weten over de rijke biodiversiteit van de regio.
Meer informatie over tropische planten en hun fruit. Bekijk de eigenlijke planten en bomen, en neem ook enkele monsters van deze heerlijke vruchten in een rustieke fruitkraam voordat je naar Cahuita National Park gaat. Als u zin heeft om te winkelen, kunt u ook de aangrenzende souvenirwinkel bezoeken.
Bananen zijn een groot deel van de Costa Ricaanse economie en een grote activiteit in Puerto Limon. Stop naast de bananenplantage van Chiquita om te leren over het cultiveren, oogsten en verzenden van het fruit. Let op: vanwege regels zijn we niet toegestaan in het verwerkingsbedrijf.
Geniet samen met je gids van een wandeling van 1 uur door het prachtige nationale park Cahuita. Je krijgt de kans om nog meer dieren en exotische planten te zien. Met mooie weersomstandigheden kunt u ook genieten van het strand dat parallel loopt aan het pad.
Een korte stop bij een plaatselijke supermarkt, waar u Costa Ricaanse koffie of andere goederen tegen eerlijke prijzen kunt kopen als u wilt, en ook kunt leren over de algemene kosten van levensonderhoud in Puerto Limon, Costa Rica.

Rupert was/is the best guide ever! He was so passionate about his country, nature and the tour - we can only say: thank you for one of the best days we ever had. He found so many sloths for us - it was incredible! A very nice and warm person, always trying to show and explain us everything around, in a very relaxed atmosphere - no hurry, no tourist masses..... we highly recommend to do a tour with Rupert - it was only us and will remain unforgettable! We thoroughly enjoyed this small-group tour with Cabrito. He drove us safely, spoke excellent English and could not have worked harder to give us the best experience in a few hours. The canal excursion was relaxing, and we loved our walk through the beautiful forest by the sea at Cahuita National Park. He was a great spotter of wildlife and very willing to answer all our questions. Highly recommended! And of course he got us back to the ship in perfect time.

The tour as such was well organized and gives great impressions of the wonderful nature and diverse wildlife of Costa Rica. However, our guide made the day special. We were the last to get off the ship. They waited for us and this magnificent adventure began. From the Tortuguero canal to the fruit stand to the banana plantation to the peanut park, spectacular organization, treatment especially with my young child, good value for money, I totally recommend it.

We had booked the tour as part of our Central America cruise and right at the beginning it should be emphasized: It was our best shore excursion this holiday. The booking process via TripAdvisor was hassle-free. On the positive side, we noticed that although we booked 9 months before, we received an email with all the necessary instructions immediately afterwards. Directly at the port exit, we were met by a sign with our name from Relax Day Tours staff and assigned to our guide, Markus - who was just a lucky shot for us. Markus explained in detail during the trips about the country and people, the local customs and other interesting topics. He was always authentic and highly committed. Whether sailing through the Tortuguero Canals or walking through Cahuita National Park, he was always looking for wildlife to show to his guests. We also loved the fact that he repeatedly exchanged ideas with other guides about interesting animal sightings. The highlight, however, was visiting his own garden with many tropical plants, tasting freshly picked star fruits or cocoa beans, as well as several animals, such as sloths, spiders and snakes. The tour went straight to the canals after the port. The navigation was very interesting, we could see howler monkeys, a sloth, several iguanas as well as a boa, all of which were shown to us by Mark or the ship's captain. Afterwards we drove to a fruit stand where we were allowed to taste several fresh tropical fruits. Pleasant was that, as is otherwise the case, we were not actively approached about sales offers. Afterwards, we drove past the banana plantations, which are no longer allowed to be visited, to the garden and then to the national park, which we used for further animal visits and also for a swim in the tropical warm sea. We can only recommend this tour.
