Als u op zoek bent naar een authentieke Egyptische ervaring, is onze halve dag tour naar het Egyptisch Museum in Caïro de perfecte keuze. De tour is doordacht ontworpen om u in slechts een paar uur een diepe duik te geven in duizenden jaren geschiedenis. Ophaalservice bij je hotel in Caïro of Gizeh door een gids om je tour te beginnen. Het Museum van Egyptische Oudheden, algemeen bekend als het Egyptisch Museum of Museum van Caïro, in Caïro, Egypte, herbergt een uitgebreide collectie oude Egyptische antiquiteiten. Het heeft 120.000 artikelen, met een representatief aantal uitgestald, de rest in magazijnen. Gebouwd in 1901 door het Italiaanse bouwbedrijf Garozzo-Zaffarani naar een ontwerp van de Franse architect Marcel Dourgnon, is het gebouw een van de grootste musea in de regio. This tour was very interesting. Our guide Heba Kamal was knowledgeable and professional. She explained the statues in details. She also gave us enough free time to explore the museum. Our driver M. Thabet was very responsible too.
Had a great half day tour of the Egyptian Museum with my guide Rania, who was a volunteer here for a few years and she showed me some of her favorite things. Even though GEM is huge, there are still amazing things to see here lake the Narmer Pallet, the Fayoum Mummies/Portraits, King Psusennes' gold mask from Tanis, and some very cool Akhnaten statues. EMO Tours made booking and communication easy; and said no problem to wanting to book a female guide (as a solo female traveler)- highly recommend this very organized tour company.
The trip to the museum was a wonderful experience today. I especially want to highlight the great museum guide, who was very knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything in a clear and engaging way. The taxi ride was also safe and pleasant Muhammed, the driver, took his time, was very friendly, and acted highly professional. He is extremely reliable, attentive, and makes sure you feel comfortable and safe at all times. Highly recommended both the museum visit and the ride. I would definitely do it the same way again!

Good half-day trip to the Old Museum with an experienced and funny guide that left us time to explore a bit ourselves, though the museum was unfortunately rather crowded at the time, and you would need days to really see everything. Lunch included (drinks extra). Some religious views were included that took some getting used to, it is a sensitive subject. Extra purchases are available if you are interested in what they offer.
She’s very knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. I really enjoyed the tour and learned a lot at both museums. We also visited the citadel and mosque which I found very interesting!

If you love Egyptian history, then the museum is a must visit. There are numerous artefacts, and they have 2 mummies too. Just a shame that the Rosetta stone is in the British museum and there is a picture of it framed in the foyer as you walk in, indicating you need to go to London to see it in its full glory!! Even when making it a quick tour, you need around 2 hours to get around it all. There's a cute shop at the exit of the museum where I picked up a Magnet for 250EGP. Highly recommend a visit.
