Tijdens deze tour van een halve dag in Soweto, neemt uw gids u mee naar alle hotspots in Soweto. FNB Stadium
Op weg naar Soweto komen we langs het Nationale Voetbalstadion, waar de openings- en sluitingsceremonie van het WK 2010 plaatsvond. We betreden het Diepkloof-gebied, waar we langs leveranciers lopen die zo ongeveer alles verkopen.
We vertrokken naar het hart van Soweto, langs het Baragwanath-ziekenhuis, een enorme taxistandplaats en de historische buitenwijk Diepkloof.
Onze eerste stop in Soweto is bij de informele nederzetting Motsoaledi. Loop met je gids door de zandstraten langs lokale woningen en een typische informele opvang die MoAfrika Tours en alle reizigers sponsoren door via ons te bezoeken. Begroet en ontmoet de mensen in de nederzetting en leer meer over hun manier van leven.
Regina Mundi Catholic Church
We rijden verder via Orlando West naar het centrum van Soweto. We stoppen voor de Regina Mundi-kerk en het Vrijheidsplein voor een snel overzicht.
Walter Sisulu Square
Walter Sisulu Square (Freedom Square), formeel bekend als het Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication, ligt in het hart van Kliptown in Soweto, Zuid-Afrika.
Hector Pieterson Museum and Memorial
Het Hector Pieterson Museum is een groot museum in Orlando West, Soweto, Zuid-Afrika, twee blokken verwijderd van waar Hector Pieterson op 16 juni 1976 werd neergeschoten en vermoord.
Vilakazi Street
We banen ons een weg door de levendige Vilakazi-straat, langs iconische monumenten en de huizen van Nelson en Winnie Mandela en aartsbisschop Desmond Tutu.

Awseome insight into Soweto
We had an excellent half day in Soweto, our guide Khutso was so friendly and informative. He gave us a great mix of historical facts as well as local insights. Our guide was local from the area and talked about the experience of people living in Soweto.

An authentic glimpse of life in Soweto
We would fully recommend this tour. Our guide Khutso did a wonderful job of explaining what we were seeing and it really gave us an authentic experience of both the historical importance of Soweto as well as what current day life is for people living in that community.

A great experience!
They came to pick us up directly at our accommodation and took us on a truly interesting tour through the different aspects of Soweto, with a few stops and a visit to two museums. Clement, our guide, was very nice and knowledgeable!

Soweto with Mo
my family and I had just did this tour and it was wonderful to get to know soweto, but must of all it was a wonderful experience thanks to Mo, our guide. Fantastic trip in Soweto

Absolutely fascinating
1365610 Pending review Absolutely fascinating We were on a private tour but cannot remember who with! However they are all similar. Absolutely fascinating including a drive around the less exotic areas!!! The locals seemed content for us to be there. A different way of life for the 3.5 million that live there…from modest to very very basic. The area around Mandel’s house seemed safe but busy, but you need to be strong with the hawkers. This is a must do, and there are so many different ways of touring, such as walking, cycling, private, group etc. Can certainly take you out of your comfort zone.

Great tour
This was a really good tour. Nelson was very knowledgeable about the history of the area and made us feel comfortable for the whole trip.
