Tour naar de Chiflón-watervallen en de lagunes van Montebello

Gedeelde rondleiding in het Spaans. Vanaf 07:30 uur 's ochtends halen we passagiers op bij hun hotel. Duur 30 minuten. Rondleiding in het Spaans. Je moet een lunch meenemen, onderweg naar de Chiflón-watervallen zijn er geen stops voor ontbijt in een restaurant. Reistijd 2 uur en 30 minuten. In Cascadas el Chiflón zijn er 800 treden om de Bridal Veil-waterval te zien. In dit ecotoerismecentrum wordt de zipline-activiteit aangeboden (kosten niet inbegrepen), je kunt dit doen om niet naar beneden te lopen. Onze volgende stop zijn de Montebello-lagunes, er is tijd voor de lunch (niet inbegrepen), we bezoeken Laguna Internacional (verdeelt Mexico en Guatemala), Lake Tziscao, Lake Pojoj. Je kunt op een vlot stappen (extra kosten) en met de hulp van de schipper roeien om naar de andere kant te komen en te kunnen zwemmen. Aan het einde van de tour keren we terug naar San Cristóbal. *Aanbevelingen: breng lunch mee. Badpak, handdoek en contant geld.

Na het ophalen gaan we naar de prachtige watervallen "El Chiflón" waar we zullen wandelen om de verschillende watervallen te zien totdat we "Velo de Novia" bereiken met een val van meer dan 120 meter hoog. Op deze site kunt u een grote verscheidenheid aan soorten orchideeën, bromelia's, jeneverbessen, palomillo-bomen, sapodilla, ceder en mahonie zien. Binnen de bestaande fauna die in het gebied te vinden is, zijn te vinden: leguanen, konijnen, gordeldieren, slangen en diverse vogels.
We vervolgen onze weg naar het Lagunas de Montebello National Park en bezoeken 5 lagunes zoals Tziscao, Internacional, Pojoj, 5 Lagos en de belangrijkste Montebello. Waar de maaltijd wordt gemaakt na een bezoek aan de eerste twee lagunes, etenstijd 1 uur, worden de typische restaurants in het Lagunas de Montebello National Park aanbevolen, en later worden de laatste lagunes bezocht. Nationaal park Lagunas de Montebello, gelegen in de gemeente La Trinitaria, Chiapas, Mexico, een plaats die wordt gekenmerkt door zijn natuurlijke, historische en archeologische toeristische attracties], unieke natuurlijke schoonheid in zijn soort, vanwege de meren van verschillende kleuren, veroorzaakt door hetzelfde de natuur eromheen, gewoon een magische plek.
Lake Pojoj behoort tot het Lagunas de Montebello National Park, een netwerk van waterlichamen die zich in de gemeente Trinitaria van Chiapas bevinden. De lagunes vormen de grens van Mexico met Guatemala. Het eerste dat u op Lake Pojoj moet doen, is een perfecte rit op een vlot maken, die is gemaakt van boomstammen die zijn vastgebonden met banden van natuurlijke vezels. Lago Internacional maakt deel uit van een systeem van 30 spectaculaire lagunes waar het toeristenhostel werd gerehabiliteerd en uitgebreid met uitkijkpunten, pieren, wandelpaden, paden, restaurants en een ambachtsplein om meer nationale en Guatemalteekse bezoekers aan te trekken, vooral met het oude stenen pad dat aansluit op Mexico en Guatemala.

Time is too much, seats are uncomfortable. I spent more time in the Urvban than in the tourist landscapes. I think much more could be improved
Agradecemos su opinión, respecto de los tiempos, están perfectamente señalados en la descripción de la reserva, por otro lado, lamentablemente, para poder conocer algunas de las bellezas de Chiapas, tenemos desplazamientos largos pero que al final merece la pena. Tomamos en cuenta su opinión para tratar de mejorar los tiempo.
The Chiflon waterfalls were great, but we needed to stay with the group while we were there and got a little short time in my opinion. Montebello lakes are definitely not worth the long trip. The food over there was way overpriced (300 pesos for 2 coffee and 2 quesadillas), but you were left no choice. Felt like a tourist trap to me. The lakes themselves are not special. If I would do it again, I would look for an only el Chiflon tour

This was a very long day. But we’ll worth it. The waterfall was spectacular. I also went zip lining for the first time! The lakes were also so beautiful. The roads in all of Chiapas are littered with very large speed bumps. So be prepared for a bumpy bus ride. But we had a good driver. And we got to step into Guatemala!

The announced ride was completed on time, driver ok. 20 euros for the service is more than correct. However, you will have to add all the tips of the guides (chiflón waterfall and boatmaster) and the activity of the raft tour on the lagoon at 150 pesos. Moreover the place to eat at lunch is more than expensive for what it offers. A small plate of carne asada with frijol and rice for 120 pesos. In short, if we take all the expenses, the price of the tour almost doubles. So we have to provide cash.

Got picked up within the timeframe and hit the road toward the falls! The guide didn’t speak any English (when I booked I had selected the English option though) It’s almost 3 hr drive to the falls, no bathroom breaks, can’t eat on the bus and the seats aren’t the most comfortable. Once we arrived at the falls we had 2 hrs to explore which was a bit rushed if you wanted to see all the falls and also relax and try to grab some food and eat before getting back on the bus. The second stop was at a lake and we were first told it was a 20 minute stop, then 30 minutes then a hr…..You have the option to go on a boat tour but you are expected to paddle the boat so it’s not a relaxing experience but it is beautiful. At this stop you can get lunch but if you don’t speak Spanish it’s impossible to understand what anyone is saying because everyone was speaking very fast. The last stop is another lake that borders Guatemala and it’s very beautiful but we weren’t given a time frame for when to be back at the bus so after wandering around for a bit the driver found all of us and we left for the almost 4 hr drive with no bathroom breaks, got back to hostel at 1030pm. It’s a very long day, the locations are beautiful but be prepared and bring your own lunch!
