In tegenstelling tot veel andere tours rond Dubrovnik, is onze tour VOLLEDIG PRIVÉ en richt hij zich op de eigen voorkeuren van uw reiziger. De tour is niet echt in steen gebeiteld en is ontworpen om zowel feiten (uit de meeslepende geschiedenis van Dubrovnik) als fictie (details over de opnames) te behandelen, terwijl je de iconische locaties uit Game of Thrones volgt. Al onze gidsen zijn BEKWAAMDE professionals met een vergunning van het Kroatische Ministerie van Toerisme en zijn grote fans van de boekenserie Game of Thrones en het Lied van IJs en Vuur. Weinig van onze gidsen zijn VOORMALIGE EXTRA'S uit Game of Thrones, dus je krijgt de kans om uit de eerste hand te leren hoe jouw en onze favoriete show werd gefilmd.

Het dorp Bosanka op de berg St. Serge (of Srđ in het Kroatisch) is een van de filmpunten boven de oude binnenstad van Dubrovnik waar de twee filmscènes plaatsvonden (Tyrion wacht op het Dornish-feest en Brienne's afscheid van Jaime). Daarnaast biedt het een fantastisch panoramisch uitzicht op de oude binnenstad van Dubrovnik.
Het Trsteno Arboretum-complex met renaissancetuinen is een van de meest voorkomende filmlocaties buiten de oude binnenstad. Het is de thuisbasis van talloze scènes met de familie Tyrell (Lady Olenna, Margaery en Loras) en enkele andere personages uit de GOT (zwaardgevechttraining van Jaime en Bronn, onderhandelingen over Oberyn en Cersei vóór het proces van Tyrion, enz...). Het Trsteno Arboretum wordt niet alleen gebruikt als een gedenkwaardige locatie tijdens de show, maar is ook het oudste en grootste monument van tuinarchitectuur in Kroatië. Het dateert uit 1494 en is een voormalig aristocratisch landgoed met een overvloed aan planten (ongeveer 500 verschillende soorten uit verschillende klimaatzones).
Het ter ziele gegane hotel Belvedere, vlakbij het strand van St. Jacob (Sveti Jakov in het Kroatisch) is een van de meest intrigerende filmlocaties in Game of Thrones - de locatie van de beruchte Trial by Combat tussen prins Oberyn en de Berg! Dit moderne gebouw dat dateert uit 1985 was slechts 6 jaar in gebruik toen het beschadigd raakte tijdens de belegering van Dubrovnik in 1991-1992. Het lagere plateau van het hotel werd in 2014 vakkundig aangepast door de HBO om te dienen als de arena waar de overdreven eigenwijze prins Oberyn op de meest gruwelijke manier zijn vroegtijdige ondergang bij de berg ontmoette (een oogverblindende en geestverruimende scène uit het GOT-seizoen 4)

Excellent tour with very friendly and knowledgeable guide. If you’re looking for a private experience away from the crowds, I highly recommend this tour!
We went with my sister and brother in law on the GOT tour with Tom. This tour was recommended to us and Tom went above and beyond our expectations. Tom showed us all of Dubrovnik then we did a walking tour of the walled city. Even after our tour was over, he came back to pick us up, take us for sunset photos and return us to our cruise ship. We have already recommended him to others who will be heading over. By far best tour we have been on. Thanks Tom for a fantastic day and great memories.
This tour was fabulous. We learned so much history about Dubrovnik and Croatia, and also got to see many filming sites from Game of Thrones. Tom is a wonderful host and I would highly recommend that anyone visiting Dubrovnik take one of his tours.
Tom's GOT tour was fantastic. We did a combined driving tour as well as walking tour of Dubrovnik (including walking the city wall). Tom brought to life the various scene's and then flexed to specific sites and locations that we wanted to see and did it flawlessly. Next time we are in Dubrovnik, we will look to use Tom for other tours that he offers.
We had a wonderful Game of Thrones tour with Tom. He brought us to so many beautiful filming locations outside the walls of old town Dubrovnik. We especially loved the beautiful gardens. We had a great time with Tom on this Game of Thrones tour. He showed us so many locations where the show was filmed outside of the old town city walls. We especially loved the beautiful gardens. We would recommend this tour to any GOT lovers.
The tour my husband and I went on was only in English. Despite this, the skill and patience of the guide were fundamental to make the whole group understand the beauty of the places and all the interventions used by the crew in the organization of the shooting. Try it!
We just spent 2 1/2 hours with Karmen and it went so quickly. She covered all the game of thrones sites and also history of Dubrovnik and Croatia. She is obviously well Educated and manages to Put the information over in a way that’s not too much, so no Brain overload with too many names and dates as you sometimes find. It was definitely worth booking the personal tour rather than the group. She is also great with the camera, she ensures you get the best shot and seems to Enjoy doing that too. We would definitely recommend her and this tour to anyone who loves game of thrones or Croatian/ Dubrovnik history.
Our tour guide was Marko who totally made the experience. Brilliant knowledge and an excellent communicator. Always welcomed questions and answered them honestly. My girlfriend had never watched seasons 1-7, (although she watched bits of Season 8) but enjoyed the tour as it included facts not just about GoT but the history of Dubrovnik also. We went over to Lokrum Island which is simply a MUST! Along with just being an amazing island, it has an Iron Throne replica which is cool to have some photos and show off on social media. Cannot recommend this tour enough for big GoT fans - however especially Lokrum Island, which is incredible is worth the money alone.
What a fab fab tour with Tonka. We had young children as well as some GoT enthusiasts. Tonka managed to keep all of us interested for the entire couple of hours. She gave us a great overview of the history of the city, architecture as well as the importance of Dubrovnik as a town by the waters. Tonka was a GoT extra so my Husband enjoyed chatting about the shooting of GoT and the actors she met. Definately book her if in Dubrovnik!!
