Dit vindt plaats in huis of bij de sjamaan en hier zie je hoe de geneeskrachtige planten worden gebruikt. Hij zal uitleggen waar elke plant nuttig voor is en hoe dit wordt gebruikt om iemand te genezen. Na de ceremonie zie je het proces van het maken van cacao en geniet je van een traditionele maaltijd. Om deze buitengewone ervaring af te sluiten, maak je een wandeling naar de waterval en neem je een verfrissende duik.

Our experience with Tirsa was one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. It was so much more than a tour. It was an opportunity to learn about the Bribri culture through the people who live it every day. We had the privilege of meeting with a shaman, learning about medicinal plants from a local family, sharing a delicious traditional meal, and making chocolate from cacao. Every part of the experience felt authentic, welcoming, and deeply meaningful. Tirsa was a wonderful guide who shared her knowledge with warmth and respect, making us feel connected to the culture and the community. We left with a greater appreciation for the Bribri people and their way of life. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something genuine, educational, and unforgettable. The tour was absolutely amazing! Enrique was a fantastic guide. There was a highlight after the next one. The visit to the shaman was very special. The tour through the Bri Bri village was very exciting. We were particularly interested in the production of the cocoa paste, which was incredibly delicious. Especially in connection with the banana. A taste I had never tried before, it was simply delicious. The lunch was also excellent. Swimming at the waterfall was the crowning conclusion. Thank you for the impressive day. I can wholeheartedly recommend this tour!!!

Simply magical Mishka accompanied us to discover her culture and traditions with simplicity and much love. The purification experience with him Awá Lessandro was very profound and moved a lot of energy. We met María, Tiffany, and Ana, who accompanied us to discover their medicinal plants; we made cocoa and ate very delicious and authentic food. Totally recommended 100%

I would say this is a must do if you are visiting the Caribbean coast. Our tour guide and translator Enrique was amazing. The Shaman experience was full of information about the BriBri cultural heritage and practices. The little blessing ceremony was a nice touch. The BriBri family we spent time with was our personal favorite. Our lovely BriBri guide with the help of Enrique to translate led us on an amazing plant discovery journey. We enjoyed the chocolate making (and eating) process as well. A filling homemade lunch was provided which was very tasty. We did opt out of the waterfall but by all means go if you want. I do recommend bug spray as was mentioned by the tour operator. Overall it was a great morning tour and well worth the cost. Pura Vida!

Totally worth it! Meaningful and delicious! Our guide Theresa was so warm, open, kind, and knowledgeable! Visiting the Shaman for a healing ritual was meaningful and powerful. Learning about the native plants and abundance provided by the earth was fascinating! Making, eating, and drinking fresh Cacao was so fun and delicious! Connecting in a global women's circle while drinking Cacao was deeply enriching and magical. The waterfall swim was wonderful and refreshing. Overall, experiencing the traditional BriBri way of life was powerful and touched me deeply in my soul. Definitely do it!

Our wonderful guide was very knowledgeable, authentic, nice, and made every effort to translate interactions with several BriBri people, who joined us. We had a positive, spiritually-oriented experience with the Shaman 😊. We were a small, 3 person group, which also made it more personal and meaningful. We had fun making tasty chocolate, in a traditional way, from the cocao pod that we picked on the way! ❤️ We learned about quite a few medicinal plants. And, at the end, a refreshing swim at the waterfall (there was a changing area and a bathroom).

We had a guide, Lisandro, who was great. He speaks Spanish, English and Bribri. He used Google to help us understand some of the explanations during the visit.
