Onze tours zijn leuk en boeiend, nooit saai en saai, en zijn zorgvuldig en doordacht ontworpen voor het plezier van alle leeftijden. Voor een meer intiem, privé-tourgevoel tegen een openbare tourprijs, bestaan tours over het algemeen uit 16 gasten of minder. De vroege starttijd van onze tour betekent dat onze tourgasten waarschijnlijk minder drukte zullen tegenkomen, ze zullen sneller door de veiligheidscontrole kunnen gaan (verplicht voordat ze aan boord gaan van een veerboot naar het Vrijheidsbeeld), ze zullen meer quality time hebben om ervaar Liberty Island en Ellis Island, en uiteindelijk zullen ze meer comfort en maximaal plezier hebben van hun tour.

Nadat je je gids hebt ontmoet op het aangewezen ontmoetings-/vertrekpunt in Battery Park, Lower Manhattan, leidt je gids de groep door Battery Park. Het is in dit gebied dat het verhaal van Amerika zich ontvouwt. Je leert over de oorspronkelijke bezetting van Manhattan door inheemse Lenape-stammen en de evolutie van het eiland tot de geboorteplaats van Amerika en ook van de dichtstbevolkte en financieel belangrijke stad van ons land! Op een leuke en boeiende manier zal diepgaand commentaar worden gegeven terwijl de groep zich een weg baant naar het hart van het park en naar de historische structuur genaamd Castle Clinton. Onderweg geniet je ook van een prachtig uitzicht op 1 WTC (ook bekend als Freedom Tower) vanaf het grasveld van Battery Park. ronde Castle Clinton-structuur op weg naar de veiligheidstent van het Vrijheidsbeeld voordat de goedgekeurde doorgang naar de veerboot naar het Vrijheidsbeeld wordt goedgekeurd.
Naarmate de tour vordert naar het hart van Battery Park, komen we een ronde, historische structuur tegen, genaamd Castle Clinton. De dagtour omvat een bezoek aan het beroemde immigrantenverwerkingsdepot op Ellis Island, en op dezelfde manier heeft Castle Clinton ook een rol gespeeld in ons immigrantenverhaal. In feite heeft Castle Clinton vele doelen gediend sinds de bouw ervan in het begin van de 19e eeuw en je zult er meer over leren tijdens deze tour.
Nadat hij de geschiedenis van Castle Clinton heeft gedeeld, leidt de gids de groep door de beveiliging in luchthavenstijl. Dit veiligheidscontrolepunt voor toegang tot de veerboot naar Liberty Island en het Vrijheidsbeeld is verplicht voor alle gasten. Het is belangrijk op te merken dat het dragen van wapens van welke aard dan ook ten strengste verboden is. Verboden voorwerpen worden in beslag genomen, kunnen niet worden teruggevonden en kunnen leiden tot juridische problemen, zelfs als u een vergunning heeft om ze in uw eigen staat of land te vervoeren! Zodra alle gasten de veiligheidsinspectie hebben doorstaan, gaat de groep aan boord van de eerste van twee veerboten van 10 minuten die we tijdens de tour zullen gebruiken. Onze eerste ferry brengt ons naar Liberty Island. Hier heb je de gelegenheid om het Vrijheidsbeeld van dichtbij te bekijken, vanaf het terrein van Liberty Island. Door middel van diepgaand commentaar leer je alles over hoe dit belangrijke icoon van vrijheid is ontstaan. Je zult ook de originele fakkel van het Vrijheidsbeeld zien, te zien in het Vrijheidsbeeldmuseum.
Van 1892-1954 was Ellis Island het grootste, drukste en beroemdste depot voor immigrantenverwerking in de VS! Tijdens de rondleiding zal je gids inzichtelijke informatie delen over de gevarieerde geschiedenis van dit eiland en diepgaande informatie delen over het immigranteninspectieproces. Het commentaar van de gids wordt gedaan op het terrein van het eiland, buiten het Ellis Island National Immigration Museum. De tour eindigt op Ellis Island nadat het begeleide deel van de tour is afgelopen. Daarna bent u vrij om Ellis Island op eigen gelegenheid verder te verkennen. Toegang tot de vele mooie, zelfgeleide tentoonstellingen in het fascinerende Ellis Island National Immigration Museum is bij de prijs van je tour inbegrepen. Een boekwinkel, souvenirwinkel, café en geautomatiseerde onderzoeksfaciliteiten voor immigranten zijn ook te vinden op het eiland. Wanneer u klaar bent om Ellis Island te verlaten, stapt u op uw gemak aan boord van een NYC-gebonden veerboot die u terugbrengt naar Battery Park, in Lower Manhattan (inbegrepen).

Our family had such a special experience on this tour. Traveling as a group of four, grandmother/mother, two daughters (mother) and a daughter/granddaughter, we immediately connected with our guide, who made us feel like we were part of her family. Our shared perspective made the entire day feel more personal and thoughtful.
