Tour naar het Nairobi Giraffe Centre & Optioneel olifantenweeshuis

Breng de dag door met een bezoek aan het Giraffe Centre, de thuisbasis van de bedreigde Rothschild-giraf. Hoor hun verhalen tijdens een privétour. Op verzoek brengen we u zonder extra transportkosten graag naar het olifantenweeshuis om de babyolifanten te zien die om vele redenen zijn gered.

Nadat je om 9.00 uur bent opgehaald bij je hotel, begint de tour met een bezoek aan het giraffencentrum. Hier zie je de prachtige wezens en leer je waarom ze in gevaar zijn. je leert ook hun gedrag, eigenschappen en meer natuurbeschermingseducatie. Op verzoek brengen wij u zonder extra transportkosten graag naar het olifantenweeshuis (15 USD PER PERSOON) om de geredde babyolifanten te zien. Het olifantenweeshuis accepteert 200 mensen per dag en u moet ons tijdig op de hoogte stellen om de beschikbaarheid te bevestigen.
Op verzoek wordt u dan zonder extra kosten naar de fabriek van Kazuri Beads gereden. Dit is een aardewerkbedrijf dat een van de mooiste kralen ter wereld maakt. Je krijgt alle etappes van start tot finish te zien. Het is ook een unieke fabriek omdat er alleenstaande moederouders uit de arme buurt werken die de kost verdienen om hun gezin te onderhouden. Hierna kunnen we je ergens naartoe brengen voor de lunch en je later afzetten.

This is a great half day tour if you don’t have a lot of time. The elephant centre is only open for one hour so it can be quite busy with people if you arrive early, don’t panic you will get in! Was great to hear about the work that they do for these orphans to prepare them to go back to the wild. We went to the giraffe centre first at 9am and it was quieter and just amazing to see these beautiful animals up close. We were on a tight schedule and David our guide was great.

I enjoyed feeding the giraffes at giraffe center, hearing the stories of all the animals at Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and listening to the inspirational stories at the Bead Factory. Overall, it was an amazing experience and my tour guide Calvin was amazing.

This is a great place to visit and experience. You get to feed the giraffes and learn about the giraffes. Facilities are nice and although it seems it’s always busy it’s worth a visit

The staff were very knowledgeable. Our speaker gave my group a talk on the center and the giraffes. Feeding the giraffes was amazing and it was set up in a great structured manner.

After my tea plantation tour was cancelled due to the lockdown, the company made a suggestion to spend the day around Nairobi. Chris picked me up. What a fine young man he is! We went the the giraffe centre, beads factory and Karen museum. After that we had a great lunch. We drove via a slumb back to the hotel. Thank you for making a plan. I had a great day!!
