Tijdens de tour naar het Waqrapukara Archeologisch Complex, zul je het Waqrapukara-fort, de terrassen van de plaats, de rotsformaties en de Canyon van de plaats waar condors wonen, waarderen, daarom zul je condors in hun natuurlijke habitat kunnen zien ; Onderweg ziet u de prachtige landschappen, de verscheidenheid aan flora en fauna en zult u ook de Pomacanchi-lagune kunnen waarderen.

In ons toeristenvervoer gaan we vanuit Cusco naar het zuiden totdat we Santa Lucia bereiken, vanwaar je een wandeling van ongeveer 1 uur begint, totdat je het Waqrapukara-fort bereikt, tijdens de wandeling zul je prachtige landschappen observeren, al op de plaats de De gids zal de respectievelijke uitleg geven en zal het hele archeologische complex van Waqrapukara toeren, je zult de Canyon die zich in de plaats bevindt en de condors in hun natuurlijke habitat waarderen. Je kunt er ook de mooiste foto's mee maken. Nadat je van de plek hebt genoten, gaat de terugwandeling verder naar de plaats waar hetzelfde toeristenvervoer dat je hierheen heeft gebracht op je wacht, tijdens de terugwandeling kun je de Pomacanchi-lagune waarderen. Hetzelfde transport brengt je terug naar de stad Cusco.

The landscapes were wild, the hike exciting, and the fortress looked like it was part of the mountain itself.The guide explained so much about the Inca rituals and why Waqrapukara was important. Standing there, surrounded by cliffs and silence, felt spiritual.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I booked this tour, but it turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences of my trip. The hike was challenging in parts, but the guide was so patient and encouraging. Reaching Waqrapukara felt like discovering a hidden gem.

Visiting the Waqrapukara complex and the hike. The views were amazing. The 4 to 4.5 hour mini van ride each way was very rough as there was 2 hours of it on windy dusty roads. No heater in the morning and no air conditioning in the afternoon made for an unpleasant ride. Their idea of air conditioning is too open a window and when you are at the back it makes no difference all you get is dust. I was also the only person there to speak English, the guide had very limited English and didn't even attempt to explain any of the history to me. If you speak Spanish it would probably be bearable but I felt very ostracised.
