Mont Saint-Michel, een UNESCO-werelderfgoed, is een van de meest adembenemende ontsnappingen van Frankrijk uit Parijs. Stel je voor dat je in een sprookjesachtige wereld stapt terwijl je vanuit het hart van Parijs reist in een minibusje met airconditioning en door schilderachtige Normandische landschappen reist op weg naar dit prachtige middeleeuwse eiland. Met een kleine groep en een professionele, deskundige, drietalige Gids (EN/ES/FR) ervaart u het beste van Mont Saint-Michel – van de oude geplaveide straatjes en panoramische uitzichten op de baai tot de ongelooflijke Abdij die er bovenuit steekt. Eenmaal daar, dompel jezelf onder in de charme van het dorp - dwaal door de schilderachtige straatjes en beklim de wallen voor een onvergetelijk uitzicht. Saint-Pierre kerk is een kleine, rustige kapel op de berg, bekend om zijn historische charme en serene sfeer.
Bereik de top van de berg om de prachtige gotische abdij te bezoeken. Met uw inbegrepen toegangsticket en audio Gids verkent u de kloosters, refter, kapellen en grote zalen in uw eigen tempo. Vanaf de terrassen kunt u genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht over de uitgestrekte baai die zich uitstrekt naar de horizon.
Wandel langs delen van de middeleeuwse wallen die de berg beschermden tegen invasies. Vanaf hier kunt u genieten van een prachtig uitzicht over de baai en beter begrijpen hoe geografie en getijden Mont Saint-Michel bijna onneembaar maakten.
Geniet van vrije tijd om zelfstandig te verkennen. Lunch in een van de lokale restaurants en proef regionale Normandische specialiteiten zoals : de beroemde luchtige omelet in La Mère Poulard, traditionele boekweitgaletten, verse zeevruchten uit de baai, lokale Normandische cider en meer.

Had a magical day at the abbey. It’s a long day but absolutely worth it. Recommend including the guided tour, the tablets are super modern and show you illustrations of rooms and items through the years. Transfer out was smooth, small group van, everyone was quiet and considerate. We stopped for coffee and baked goods on half way there and half way back.

The tour and the place are beautiful; it is a long trip (4 hours each way), but it is worth it to experience it. There, you are given 4 hours to explore the abbey and the village on your own, which is worth it! As for the tour, the van is very comfortable, the driver is friendly, but on the way there, he kept falling asleep, so one of the passengers who was closer had to talk to him the entire way to keep him awake. That is not good, and the company should have replacement drivers in case the assigned one has any issues.

We were cancelled and no advance notification. With prompting, I quickly arranged to be out on another Normandy tour which was well run. Was told not enough people was a tour guide in training was scheduled. The secondary vendor blamed Viator.. either way lack of communication in a difficult environment is difficult. I managed to get the mini van to turn around and come pick us up to save the day as we book a full day tour. Sad but I felt price of fuel was the deciding factor. We did enjoy cathedrals

This made the trip and visit to Mont St. Michel seamless and hassle-free! No need to figure anything out on your own, except how you go about the included self-guided audio tour, where to eat for lunch, and shopping. We went on a Saturday of a holiday weekend so it was PACKED!

Mont St Michel had been on my bucket list for years and it doesn't disappoint. It's a full day trip but well worth the time. Definitely a must see if you're in France!

Such a lovely experience. Be prepared for a long day, but it’s totally worth it. Roughly 14 hour day, about 4 hour drive to the Abbey. Time at the Abbey was about 4 1/2 hours, plenty of time to explore, shop, and lunch. Andres was tremendous, explaining what to expect for the day. Amazing experience to check off of your bucket list. Highly recommended.

We had a fabulous day with our guide, Roland! He was prompt, friendly and gracious! It was a long drive but that was to be expected. Roland suggested a lovely restaurant, La Ferme Saint Michel, and made reservations for us. Our meal was fantastic! Then we went on to the Abbey. It was absolutely breathtaking! It was an amazing day!!

Going to Mont St Michel was really worth it!! The abbey is amazing to see. Expect at least 4 hrs back and forth from Paris just for travel time. Our guide, Roland, is very knowledgeable. He knows the points of interests along the way and explained the history of the abbey and the surrounding community. Well worth it!!
