Begin uw dag met een schilderachtige rit van Porto naar het hart van de Douro in een exclusieve kleine groep. De eerste stop is in Sabrosa, op een landgoed dat bekend staat om zijn architectonische prijzen, waar modern design zich vermengt met oude wijngaarden voor een unieke wijnproeverij terroir. Vervolgens gaan we naar Pinhão om een van de meest prestigieuze producenten van de regio te bezoeken; hier neemt u naast iconische wijnen deel aan een vergelijkende proeverij van drie elite extra vierge olijfolie. De reis gaat verder richting Lamego, waar we een kleinschalig, door een familie beheerd landgoed bezoeken. Bij deze intiemere stop ontdek je de geheimen van de ambachtelijke productie en proef je nog twee exclusievere soorten lokale olijfolie. Om de ervaring te bekronen, bereiken we Peso da Régua voor een traditionele Douro lunch geserveerd op een vierde wijndomein. U krijgt de kans om de productiefaciliteiten te bezoeken, meer te weten te komen over rijpingsmethoden en de dag af te sluiten met een laatste proeverij van hun wijnen, waarbij de rijkdom en diversiteit van de vallei worden gevierd.

Great guide, Pedro, and great driver, Alex. Full day with excellent transportation and commentary. Great tasting, wonderful lunch with wine, beautiful boat ride, and another great tasting. Tasting included port and table wine. Though there is lots more to see and do, this trip makes us feel like we can truly say we have seen/done Douro Valley.

We had a great trip to the Douro Valley. Our guide,Pedro, was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, the geography and everything else we asked him. We went to a large port producer first and then to a smaller producer that made port and table wine. The tastings were wonderful at both stops. We then had lunch and port tasting at a beautiful restaurant un a small town. It was a great way to spend a day learning more about the region. As is the case with most tours, the guide can make the trip and ours was the best.
