Deze unieke dagtour nodigt u uit om een tweede land te ontdekken tijdens uw vakantie in Noord-Macedonië, Albanië (het ooit gesloten communistische land). Ontdek de opvallende verschillen en verrassende overeenkomsten tussen deze twee Balkanlanden. Reis comfortabel met de bus of minibus terwijl u geniet van een complete schilderachtige tour rond het meer van Ohrid, een van de mooiste meren in Europa. Onderweg stop je bij iconische en charmante locaties, waaronder de Bay of Bones, Pogradec, Lin en Drilon. In Pogradec geniet u van vrije tijd om te ontspannen en te lunchen in uw eigen tempo. Neem in het pittoreske dorpje Lin een koffiepauze en wandel door smalle straatjes met traditionele huizen. Voor degenen die dat wensen, is er een optionele begeleide wandeling naar de oude Romeinse basiliek – een echte aanrader voor geschiedenisliefhebbers en fotografen. Tijdens de reis zie je ook de beroemde betonnen bunkers uit de communistische tijd, stille herinneringen aan het verleden van Albanië, verspreid over het landschap.

Fotostop Bay of Bones.
In Drilon houden we een korte koffiepauze en genieten we van de verbazingwekkende natuur, die sterk lijkt op de waterbronnen van St. Naum. Je hebt wat vrije tijd om te ontspannen, te genieten van een kopje koffie, een wandeling te maken rond het natuurlijke stuwmeer en foto's te maken.
In Pogradec wordt u afgezet voor Hotel Enkelana. Je hebt vrije tijd om van de stad te genieten en te lunchen. U kunt een bezoek brengen aan de lokale Marketplace, het stadspark waar u de patriarchale manier van leven in Albanië tegenkomt, en de boulevard die beroemd is om zijn straattegels en standbeelden. U kunt ook gaan winkelen, sightseeing, of gewoon genieten van een ontspannen wandeling. In de vrije tijd kunt u rondlopen in dit kleine meerstadje en de schoonheid en authenticiteit van deze plek ontdekken. Voel je vrij om te winkelen, sightseeën of een smakelijke lunch.
Bij binnenkomst in het dorp Lin start de rondleiding. Onze gids zal uitleg geven over het traditionele dorpsleven en de kenmerken van de gebouwen en haar bewoners uitleggen. Verder heeft u de mogelijkheid om te wandelen tot u het Romeinse Basilicum bereikt, wat we ten zeerste aanbevelen.
Net buiten het dorp Lin stopt de bus om de bunkers van Enver Hoxha te bezoeken. Hier kun je memorabele foto's maken om mee naar huis te nemen!

Beste gast, We halen u op bij uw accommodatie of dicht bij uw accommodatie wanneer u zich in Ohrid, Pestani en alle plaatsen daartussen bevindt. Wacht 10 minuten voor ophaaltijd buiten op de hoofdweg van het ophaalpunt of accommodatie. Wij geven uw geldige ophaaltijd via WhatsApp binnen 24 uur door! In het geval dat we niet stoppen voor uw accommodatie, vragen we vriendelijk om onze 11 opstapplaatsen rond Ohrid te controleren tot Pestani, omdat deze op loopafstand liggen van bijna elke accommodatie die er is! Het vervoer kan in een auto, bus of touringcar zijn, dit is afhankelijk van het aantal deelnemers. PS : Gasten van Inex Olgica worden voor de ingang van het hotel opgehaald. Wij danken u alvast. We really enjoyed this tour.only 8 of us on it so was very personal. Jordan,our tour guide was excellent along with Bayram our super driver.Very informative in everything.It was great to see the real country other than touristy. Only thing it lacked was not being informed in advance that we would need some Albanian lek.We had very little mkd with us and debit card not accepted only in a couple of restaurants. We would of liked to have bought some of the homemade wares the ladies in Lin were selling

The tour that reaches the parts of Lake Ohrid that most tourists don't normally see. Expect queues for passport control at the borders (and service tends to be very slow at the cafes and restaurants) but the views are spectacular, and the viewpoint at Lin is arguably the best view of the Lake.

This was such an amazing experience. The guide was great and told us so much about the areas we visited. In just a few hours, you’ll make a tour around the lake, and it’s totally worth it. I definitely recommend going on this tour as the views are just beautiful.
This is, in my opinion, one of the best money-for-experience one can undertake near Ohrid. It's basically a quick detour into the soviet era and current side of Albania. Our tour guide was absolutely great! Being both informative and joking at the appropriate occasions. We were a group of around 15 people. We were picked up between 7 and 8 from our hotel and drove a little less than an hour to Albania. Our border crossing didn't take long (15 minutes or so, but I've been told that this can vary greatly) and then we were in Albania. The bus driver drove from place to place, going first to a village, then to some left over bunkers and finally to Pogradec. The village (Lin) was a little bit of a culture shock, with villagers still having to get water using a barrel for instance. Additionally, the remains of a very old Bassilica (church) with beautifully well preserved ornaments and mosaics can be visited on top of a hill. The best part of the journey was actually visiting Pogradec itself. It's both modern and old-fashioned. I loved walking around the parks and viewing groups of old men playing board games and people playing (mostly non-English music). The tour through the city was really nice, especially through the old-market. Essentially: this tour allows one to visit another country, a beautiful city, and a bit of space which feels like another time.

Interesting trip from Ohrid town through to Albania. A little disappointed that we didn’t stop at the bunkers or Struga as advertised but a good day with a lovely, safe driver and interesting tour guide.

Had lovely tour guide called Vlad. Nice trip for going around the lake which North macedonia shares with Albania. You will need to have good walking legs as you climb up a hill in the village of Lyn. The village is little but very traditional fishing village. It is a must see ladies have table out selling there wares. Can't describe it you must go. Nearby are bunkers that you can if you want too. They is a restaurant and bar that looks over Lake beautiful views. The next bit is the city tour for an hour then two hours free time. The bizzar/market is good. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Only issue is passport control you have to hand when going from one counrty to another about thirty minutes wait. If you got little one not advisable due to climb but school children plus should ok.

I found this trip very interesting and glad I went on it even though it took us 1.5hrs to cross the border from North Macedonia to Albania as the guide suggested we did the circular of the lake this way rather than get held up later.We visited a small authentic village first called “Lin” where we stopped for coffee and a rest break before continuing to walk through the village up to a fantastic view point encompassing both countries,this was breathtaking as well as the walk up!We then went on to view the old bunkers before boarding the coach to Pogradec where we had a small guided tour then free time for lunch.It was a long day but well worth it,the guide was very engaging and it was set at a good pace with plenty of opportunities for photo stops to capture many memories.

What a great day out, 2 very different places plus a complete circle of the lake. Lin was a very authentic village with some lovely ruins, a mosaic, and a great view right at the top, then we stopped at the bunkers, The information was excellent and easy to follow. Lastly, we headed to Pogradec, which was a larger seaside/lakeside town. It was interesting to see the Albanian version of Ohrid (it was a far newer city which had some nice development), we stopped for beers and lunch, which was very nice.
