Wat Traimit (de Tempel van de Gouden Boeddha) is een openbare tempel die beroemd is om zijn enorme gouden Boeddha-beeld dat informeel "de Gouden Boeddha" wordt genoemd in de positie om het kwaad te bedwingen. Dit gouden Boeddhabeeld is ongeveer 700-800 jaar oud, aangezien het waarschijnlijk gegoten is in het Sukhothai-tijdperk, het vroege begin van de Thaise geschiedenis.

Ontworpen in Italiaanse renaissancestijl, het is gemaakt van Italiaans wit marmer met een grote koepel in het midden en zes kleinere omliggende koepels.
Chitralada Palace wordt kortweg door de Thaise bevolking "het Koningpaleis" genoemd, het is de residentie van Hare Majesteit Koningin Sirikit in Bangkok en heeft een oppervlakte van 4 vierkante kilometer. Het Chitralada-paleis biedt ook melkveehouderij en fabrieken die zijn gebouwd door wijlen koning Rama IX Bhumibol Adulyadej.
