Meiji Jingu ligt in het centrum van Tokio en is een gerenommeerd heiligdom omgeven door een vredig bos van meer dan 100.000 bomen. Opgedragen aan Keizer Meiji en Keizerin Shoken, biedt het een serene ontsnapping uit de stad.
Het drukste kruispunt van Tokio, bekend om zijn georganiseerde chaos als mensen uit alle richtingen oversteken. We parkeren de auto in de buurt, en je hebt 10 minuten vrije tijd om foto's te maken en te proberen het standbeeld van Hachiko te spotten, de trouwe hond.
Hachiko is een symbool van loyaliteit. Hij wachtte hier elke dag op zijn Eigenaar, zelfs nadat zijn Eigenaar overleed.
Bezoek de beroemde Nijubashi Bridge, een van de meest iconische fotoplekken in Tokio. De brug leidt naar het binnenterrein van het keizerlijk paleis en staat bekend om zijn elegante ontwerp met dubbele bogen. Sensō-ji is de oudste en beroemdste boeddhistische tempel van Tokio, gesticht in de 7e eeuw. Het staat bekend om zijn grote Kaminarimon Gate en levendige winkelstraat Nakamise die naar de grote hal leidt.
Nakamise is een traditionele winkelstraat die leidt naar de Sensō-ji tempel, bekleed met kraampjes met Japanse snacks, souvenirs en ambachten. Het biedt een voorproefje van het oude Tokio en is perfect om lokale lekkernijen te proberen en unieke cadeaus te vinden.

Pick up from hotel was the best. No trying to understand the rail system., it's huge! Our guide/driver was very kind and knowledgeable. He was very professional but he also listened to us and what was important for us to see. I had a craving for cheesecake and found the type and a location to grab a bit. That was the bomb. It's not often that someone goes out of the way for you and when they do it's the best. Thank you James it was amazing.
