Het is de beruchte "Giant 3D cat" in Shinjuku. De 3D-gigantische kat bij de oostelijke ingang van Shinjuku Station werd populair op Instagram en staat nu bekend als de "Cat of Shinjuku East Exit." Het gebied rond de oostelijke ingang van Shinjuku Station is een bruisende winkelbuurt waar mensen samenkomen, en de kat is een vriendelijke en vertrouwde aanwezigheid geworden voor zowel de lokale bevolking als toeristen. Bovendien verschijnt deze 3D-kat elke 15 minuten, met een kort verhaal voor bezoekers om van te genieten.
Geniet van uw tijd spelen met de mooie katten in Japan's "grootste" kattencafé. Het is de grootste en schone kattencafélounge in Japan, waar ongeveer 30 katten u hartelijk zullen verwelkomen. Elke ochtend om 10:30 uur kunnen we een zeer charmante ontbijtvoedingstijd waarnemen, omdat de katten allemaal samen eten zoals op de productafbeelding.
De Gotokuji-winkelstraat is een winkelstraat tussen station Gotokuji, bekend als "Cat Town", en de Gotokuji-tempel. Veel van de winkels tonen Maneki-neko (wenkende katten), en we kunnen genieten van kat-thema winkel evenals snoep gemodelleerde katten.
Een beroemde kattentempel met duizend gelukkige katten. Leer over de geschiedenis van de Maneki-neko (gelukskat) met uitleg van de gids. Gotokuji is een boeddhistische tempel, en wordt algemeen erkend als de geboorteplaats van de Maneki-neko (wenkende kat). Volgens de legende hief de kat van de tempel zijn poot op om te gebaren naar een passerende samoerai, wat leidde tot het geluk van de samoerai en de welvaart van de tempel. Als gevolg hiervan is Gotokuji de thuisbasis van vele Maneki-neko beelden, waarvan wordt aangenomen dat ze geluk en fortuin brengen.

- Gasten moeten minimaal 13 jaar oud zijn vanwege de leeftijdsbeperkingen van het kattencafé.
- Als uw kind jonger is dan 13 jaar en er geen andere deelnemers aan de tour zijn, kunnen we overschakelen naar een kattencafé waar kinderen jonger dan 13 jaar kunnen verblijven. Neem contact met ons op via Helpcentrum voordat u boekt om deze optie te bespreken.
- Het bezoek aan het kattencafé duurt 30 minuten (inclusief toegang), zodat we op tijd kunnen zijn voordat de gelukkige kattentempelwinkel om 12 uur sluit.
- De totale duur is inclusief wandeltijd en treinreistijd.
- Er kunnen nog meer deelnemers zijn.
- Het spijt ons, maar houd er rekening mee dat er minimaal 2 deelnemers per boeking nodig zijn voor deze tour.

- Vanaf Gotokuji lucky cat tempel station is het ongeveer 10 minuten lopen naar Gotokuji lucky cat tempel. Als het lopen van lange afstanden een beetje uitdagend voor je is, houd hier dan rekening mee voordat je boekt.

What a unique tour!! Our guide was full of interesting facts about the cat population in Japan, the history of the lucky cat in Japan and very accommodating. The shrine was packed and the lines were long but he helped us navigate short cuts through the people. Very unique and fun experience.

A great tour for both cat lovers, and others who want to experience something different from the usual tourist attractions in Tokyo. Our tour guide was Hero- he was friendly and great at sharing his historical information at each of the places we visited. You will do quite a bit of walking on this tour so not great for those with mobility issues. The cat café was so fun and it doesn’t include free drinks so you can get coffee juice or soda. I wish we could’ve had more time to stay here longer, but it is pretty brief. The train ride is a bit long for a guided tour and there was a lot of sitting just kind of waiting to get to the Gotokuji area. And then you walk quite a ways to get to the actual temple. The temple was a great experience with lots of things to see, including the alleyway of 1000 lucky cats. (Tip; bring a small picture of your own cat to leave in the alleyway! And if you want to leave a lucky cat, maybe bring one ahead of time because you can only get one per person and if you want to take it home then you’ll want another one to leave there.) It was fun to learn about a lucky cat, its meaning and about the history of the original living lucky cat, who this temple is built after. Without that you were guide, we probably wouldn’t have learned this, but I also think you could explore this area and the shopping street without a tour guide and have just as enjoyable of a time. The shopping street was fun with little shops to buy cat things, some dessert, places, and coffee. You will automatically walk through this area to get to the temple and to come back to get to the train station. Again, you will do quite a bit of walking.
We had a great tour guide for this one. Very responsive when train confusion was making us late, very calm when we kept stopping for photos, and very informed about his subject and prepared with a binder of facts. The area with the lucky cat temple is a welcome break from the packed areas of the city.

We missed an opportunity to go on this tour due to a flight delay that resulted in a missed connecting flight; however, I highly commend the professionalism and diligence of Hiro, our tour guide operator. Hiro was clear in his communication throughout the process and very understanding of our travel situation. If you are looking to do this tour, know that you will be well-communicated with, with timely and detailed responses, exceptional customer service, and professionalism. If we have the chance to do this tour in the future, we will gladly do so!

Hiro was an amazing guide, full of cat facts I didn’t know about Japan and cat history. The cat cafe was so fun. We enjoyed the temple so serene and fun cat themed shopping stores. Hiro showed patience so we could get our Eki stamp and helped us get back when the tour was over. 100% recommend this tour if you are a cat lover. It was well organised and our guide was knowledgeable and fun. The temple was lovely with gardens and nearby cemetery. The meeting point was easy to find and well located outside the station. Very fun experience.
