Camlica Tower, ook bekend als Camlica TV and Radio Tower, is een prominente bezienswaardigheid in Istanboel, Turkije. De toren is met een indrukwekkende hoogte van 369 meter het hoogste bouwwerk van Istanbul en een van de hoogste torens ter wereld. Camlica Tower werd gebouwd met als voornaamste doel de televisie- en radio-omroepmogelijkheden in Istanbul te verbeteren. De bouw van de toren begon in 2012 en werd in 2019 voor het publiek geopend. Naast de uitzendfuncties dient de Camlica Tower ook als een populaire toeristische attractie, met een panoramisch uitzicht op de prachtige skyline van Istanbul vanaf het observatiedek, evenals een restaurant en een café. We walked through the park to the tower. We bought tickets on site, went to the observation deck, then up a level to lunch! No hassle and no wait. Lunch was reasonably priced. Service was good. We had a nice afternoon watching the constant weather changes….sun, rain, snow, clouds and got a clear view of the sunset! It’s a haul to get there from Sultanahmet but worth it. Take public transportation to save on high taxi or uber fees.

Great panoramic view from tower. Interesting learning about tower history and its significance. Would recommend taking this tour.
